Ted, are you using any HTML compression? There are known bugs in IE regarding this Q313712 for IE5.5 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q313712 and Q312496 for IE6 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q312496

You'll need to cut and paste the links as the square brackets for the parameters bollocks up the formatting.

Ted, If your server is not serving its files properly (like the issue the other day on pistonfest) then the HTTP headers will be missing causing some browsers to refuse to parse the info and cause the file to be downloaded.

I've had this with a badly formed CSS file which caused the page to get all messed up.

(I knew keeping notes on this kind of thing was a good idea!)
