Ted,

How about a refresh button on the forum when in a topic so you can refresh the topic you are in without changing page or going back to the forum then back into the topic

What about the button marked "Refresh" on your browser?

Should have the same effect.

You could then assign it to a keystroke too! How about... say... F5?

If going through proxy - which i do - this normally just brings back the page you have just had, where as a referenced link would force a refresh.

but was thinking a less technical approach, it also works if you return the the address bar and hit enter - forces page to be fetched rather than cached version.

But was thinking that a refresh button on the forum page would be a) simple to implement b) resolve problem in a user friendly manor
