I think you are posting at the web page rather than the actual photo..?

As there is no .jpg or .gif extension the PH system sees no possibility to visualize your photo.

Please cut 'n paste the full url of the picture, example:

http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h254/Dinkel_phot...

As you can see: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h254/Dinkel_phot....jpg

And wrap [pic] [/pic] around it:

If you'd click the picture the URL will show in your browser.

Try making it a bit smaller. 700 pixels wide is way enough.

Is there any way I can resize pics using the tags?

I say because if I link to pics in my profile they all appear huge- I can "resave" them as smaller sizes (all are currently on photobucket), but then the pics will link to thumbnails, not the originals. They look very silly in the profile if they are the standard size & simply linked using the [img] tags...

Ideas?

You can use the thumb tag which will put the image in small and allow a link to the bigger picture.

Nothing - I thought it had that subset of the forum tagging in the descriptions, and it appears it doesn't. I will get someone to add it in tomorrow, so leave it as it is and it will work tomorrow without you having to do anything.

Hi, can anyone advise me how to upload a picture into my garage area? I have uploaded a picture to thumbsnaps and then tried the various types of sharing option addresses, cut and pasted into the box that asks for a picture URL. I have also tried to link to my Flickr account to no avail. Guess i am doing something quite simple wrong, but am struggling to work out what....computers aren't really my thing. I have managed to upload pictures into the general forum areas but this is baffling me.
Thanks in advance!

The picture URL box wants just the URL of the image, it doesn't need any [img] tags or anything else around it, just the bit starting http;// and ending .jpg

If you want to include more in the description, then these will need [img] or [thumb] tags.
