Hi

I would like to refresh the interior of a Diablo VT Roadster. Get that showroom leather smell back etc.
Ox blood red leather seats and dash with a few blemishes and what looks like a rubberised kind of coating on the metal centre console that has scratched marks.

Would you be the purest and just have an ultra deep clean and keep as original (with the cutting edge 3 CD cartridge loading stereo and cheap plastic switchgear)?
Would you get the centre console recovered with say Suede?
Would you change the stereo, switchgear and steering wheel? (Is it possible?).

Would making changes (if possible) to get the interior tastefully up to mint condition on quite a rare car effect desirability (i doubt it) value(??).

What would you do and who/what would you recommend.

If you have done something similar I would love to hear about it.

Thanks

Sudesh

I'll be dong this to my own car when I get a chance. I don't think it will take away from the value as a number of Diablos have had a change over the years, in some case 2 or 3 changes to the same car! Like anything, if it's tastefully done, top quality and attention to detail, then no issues.

I upgraded the steering wheel and clocks on my car to SE30 type, plus working on carbon fibre upgrade and more.

Here's some work I did to a fellow owners NSX, also did the same to my NSX a few years ago

If it's the rubberish coating like on a lot of other cars, you can buy it in spray cans.
