Murcielago V12 AAO info please
Discussion
I'm in the market for a Murci that's not painted in a loud colour, I don't mind if the car needs a bit of work but don't want something that's been messed about with to much.
Does anyone have any info about this car? I have done the usual Google searches and know that the company selling doesn't have a great rep and that there have been several comments made saying steering clear of the car and that it looks like its been for sale forever but as far as I can see there has never been any actual reasons given. I know the interior colour scheme is hideous but £5k will see it re-trimmed to my liking.
So... Any previous owners here or anyone that's viewed or driven it??

I also was interested in this car a while ago, but was put off by all of the bad press. It all seemed to be based on the dealer having a bad reputation. However, if the car is sound, I can't see why I allowed that to put me off. Nobody at all has given any good reason why the car should be avoided. I would be interested to hear if you find out. Good luck with your search for a Murci!
there was a rumour of engine issues; but can't see it being an issue- except, at around 40,000 miles, they tend to need a new crank/machined crank (owing to the crank pulley failing I think). Mine had this issue at about that mileage, and I believe Simon's murcie (the highest mileage murci in the UK) also had the issue at about the same mileage.
Its a manual car, so doesn't have the issues e-gear cars do (and you can change the clutch without removing the engine and box- unlike an e-gear car).
get some money off for the possibility of the crank failing (i'd say £5K) and its a good deal...
also check that all the dash lights work- the suspension adjustment fails on these (especially the front shocks) and sometimes people remove the light from the dash (though to be fair, the Diablo had the same issue- its owing to using the front shocks to raise the nose with very high hydraulic pressure).

As this dealer has such a bad reputation my thoughts would be to have the likes of mike pullen or Carlo inspect the car which they may well know anyway.
On any murcie I would have it inspected by someone that knows these cars inside out.
Mike and Carlo are both approx. 200+ miles away, so may be a little unrealistic for the OP to organise. On any murcie I would have it inspected by someone that knows these cars inside out.
According to the Find Lambo Dealer app on iPhone - you could try...
Lamborghini Manchester
Dave Walton - I'd recommend him, but I'm biased, as I use him for servicing too
Amari
Supercar Clinic
Millbrooke Cars
CarTech-Prestige
I ended deciding not to buy that one even though I'd managed to talk the asking price down quite significantly over the phone, my original idea was to buy a cheap one and make it look like a later car but after some thought I realised that I simply don't have the time to do the work and ended up buying an LP640 :-)
Here it is being used as a drinks tray!

Appears it was previously for sale with another well known dealer of Lambo's - VVS

Mileage not dissimilar to current mileage. would be interesting to know how long VVS had it up for sale and when(?)
Q. Have any other cars gone from one of these 2 dealers to the other? Just wondering whether they work together?
