Very quiet Aventador

A 2014 Aventador pulled out of a T junction today and the sound coming from the exhaust was weird so quiet. As it pulled away (not fast) it sounded like an electric car. I did not think there was a hybrid of this model. It did not look like a replica with a silly engine it was too well made. ???

In Strada mode they aren't very noisy. Lots of people unplug the vacume hoses or put a sports exhaust on to give that familiar roar.

Even in sports mode the car doesn't sound loud enough, only if you hold it for 2000 revs

Could be the cylinder deactivation mode. At slow speeds/built up areas they can switch to run on 6 cylinders rather than 12. Lambo doing their bit for the environment
