Going back to the subject matter, does anyone have any idea what a franchised dealer would take as commission for the sale of one of these? More than £5k?

The only time I've ever enquired about it Ferrari said they worked on 13%.
At the time I thought that was okay.

13% on SOR, Grief I doubt it'd be more than 2-3% @ 13% your talking 35-40k to sell the average car plus vat.
I think I was quoted 5-6k to sell my scud a couple of years ago by Ferrari dealer.

Hmm, you're right, maybe I'm remembering it wrong, it was a while ago. Perhaps it was 13k but even that seems too much.

Okay, ignore my input on this, I'm obviously going senile!

I'm guessing 5k-10k (list) to make ready for sale and then between 3-5% margin ? Can't confirm but based on trade ins etc?

They will tell you they need to put a warranty on the car which costs them £3k from memory, then it depends what they want out of the deal, think they wanted circa 7k to sell my Gallardo

I might be the odd one here... nuts but I have never wanted to test drive a new car before purchase... Once I have decided on a model I read up on it then just order it and then look forward to picking it up... I was offered a F360 for the day when they first came out and said no... The i8 for the weekend and declined... I just waited until I owned them with out having to hand them back... It's like dick teasing to me... hehe
+1
Perhaps apart from the last bit(-:
It takes a while to get to know a car for me, a dash up and down a local dual carriage way tells you nothing!
+2 but not the last bit. I read up, look hard and then buy. I have only test drove one car I own and to be honest I drove it very gently because it wasn't my car and learnt nothing from the experience - but I knew I wanted it and bought it. i have an Aventador soft on order and never asked for a test drive!

when did you place the order? As i was told that they are not taking any further orders on the normal Aventador as they are building the SV, and then going for the 2017 facelift.

Agreed. No Aventador coupe or roadster until after the SV, then the limited edition run, then the reskined Coupe and then the reskined Roadster. 2017 is when my roadster should be here.....

Hi Anjum,

so I guess the often mentioned limitation of 5000 Aventadors maximum due to the moulds is incorrect then, if they are producing a series 2 ?
