Hi,

odd stupid question - and maybe something I should know.

I am looking for a cleaning product for the black alloys on my Aventador. They have very shiny surface - is this powder coating? I am wanting something that will protect the finish.

Cheers all

Hi,

Once the wheels are properly cleaned.... de-tared/de-ironed/clayed/and machine polished where they can be to remove any light swirling......., they can be coated in any quality Ceramic Coating (G-teqnic / Diamas etc)

It will help immensely, however black shows everything no matter how careful you are, although the above will prolong their life.

Thanks Reeso

I knew I had written it wrong! The alloys are already polished black, I am trying to find out what finish will have been used at the factory so that I can find the best cleaning product.

Cheers

Because you have ceramic brakes you won't get a build up of brake dust so normal shampoo, a wheel brush like an EZ Daytona for the barrels & a soft lambswool Dooka wheel mitt for the faces should see you well.

As mentioned above getting them ceramic coated will make cleaning them that much easier.

cheers
