Really enjoying the book.

Made me go outside and measure the garage door, it's going to be tight!
I had to get a layer of bricks taken out of my garage to get it to fit!

Really happy that you are enjoying it supersport , and thank you for taking the time to let me know .

Its a tight fit in my garage too , and while I can modulate the clutch and reverse the Countach literally millimetre by millimetre , the E-Gear on the Murcie (at least with my car , in my hands ) does not allow for such fine control .

That's pretty much all I dislike about the E-Gear...… I actually find the E-Gear very involving ---- I have to think much more when using this robotised manual transmission , while the traditional manual gearchange is almost second nature .

A huge amount of credit for the book needs to go to the many generous contributors

I am just starting on a book on the Countach === the inspiration for this will be from Alice in Wonderland and Isaac Newton !!

I received a real treat about 10 days ago , when RM Sotheby's sent me 89 professionally shot photographs of the 17 most important Countachs that have passed through their hands . It has taken a year's worth of negotiation to get these images , with discussions taking place with both their London and New York offices --- but what generosity on the part of RM Sotheby's towards an almost novice amateur writer .

I am thinking manual for this reason. The tight fit makes reversing in essential and there is a gentle slope up the drive. Plus I love the gate and the clack that goes with it.

I look forward to the Countach book.

Hi Path

I hope you are well, hopefully you remember me from many years ago when we went out in your Countach very early in the morning (I have since changed my username)!

I look forward to reading you Countach book when completed.

If you need the opinion of someone who had never been in a countach before but realised a life long ambition to do so thanks to a very generous owner (you) please let me know!!
Thanks
Mark

We certainly had a good time

It would be good to get a contribution from a real enthusiast

Ferruccio --That's real dedication , taking out a layer of bricks to get your Murcie to fit !!
I gave a talk to the Malaysian Lamborghini Club last week , and had I known earlier , I would have loved to have dropped that little anecdote in .

Supersport -- people much more expert than me say that reversing up a slope slowly is one sure way of wearing out your clutch quickly .
Could you drive in nose first , and then reverse out in neutral under the force of gravity ?

I bought the car off Tom Hartley.
My Diablo fitted.
They told me it was the same length.
Lucky I checked.
It was several inches longer.
Fortunately it’s an old Cotswold stone building with thick walls. So my builder was able to take a layer out and put in a concrete lintel - all not that many inches off the ground, as it’s only the front that needs to fit under. He told me he’d only do it if I gave him a ride!
