I am told this has just occurred. Apologies for the poor image..my information is it was on a test drive & no one hurt thankfully.

Just wrote a piece in Evo and mentioned I’d changed all the original fuel lines in mine as they were starting to corrode.
No idea if this was the cause here but what a disaster..one less Murcielago now.

OMG....
Is it recent? Asking because there is at least one website that displays supercar mishaps. Bit strange to see what appears to be the spec-sheet on the RHS...

Yes, this is the car that was recently for sale privately, then bought by the dealer and re-marketed at £145,000 initially.

Is this the one in a thread a few months back where it was advertised for low-100's and there was speculation it was a CatD or similar? Could be an insurance job....

I mean it's a bit like checking if you have your wallet before you leave the house , yep keys , wallet yep , fire-extinguisher check !!. Why would you not have one , they fit snuggly in the passenger footwell FFS ? I'm afraid this is also what you get when the car only does 1500 miles in 8 years, stuck in an air conditioned
garage , shout use the bloody thing !!!!!. Really Really sad.

Such a tragic site to see. One less manual Murci. Does give me anxiety as my 54 plate murci ages as the miles rack up. Have a fire extinguisher but usually by the time a fire is noticed it's mostly too late.

To be honest, I've yet to see a car fire (and I've only seen a couple!) that could be extinguished by those little things you carry in your car. I know they start off small but by the time it's realised the thing is on fire it's nearly always too late.

How many times do you see race/rally cars gutted by fire that couldn't even be stopped by a proper plumbed in lifeline system-loads!
