Need to see what the average prices of these cars are worth in todays market. What are these actually going for. I am thinking they are around £130-140k ? are they more or less?. I have come across a potential but its causing a lot of red flags to pop up and the old saying is that if its too good to be true it usually is.

See if any have gone at auction in the last 12 months.
Only sensible data points at the moment?

Last VT sold was with Amari in the unique Yellow Skirt. Price was up for £190k if I remember. Can't remember any other VT's being for sale in recent times.

Not a VT, but a yellow SV was sold from Amari very quickly once it was reduced to £105k a few months ago. It was for sale for a few years and reduced from £135k (down from £150k)....

The ones around eur 115k in Europe have been for sale for ages, people aren't rushing to buy them at these prices

uuhh SV for 105k sounds like a lot of car for the money
maybe I need to take a look at these again at some point

Edit: at some point turned out to be this minute and they are still 200k+ euros - ah well

This SV looks lovely and sensibly priced (would have though SV more desirable than VT)

Wonder if they'll drop the price to match Amari at £105k...me thinks not.

Simon Furlonger had an SV up at £139k recently, but sold now.

They love Diablos. Worth a chat with them.

Still great looking cars. Out of my price range, but does anyone have views on how these compare with other classic Lambos for ongoing running / maintenance costs? Cheaper to buy than a Countach or a top end Murcie, but are they a relative money pit?

My Diablo costs little to maintain for an aging supercar. As long as you keep on top of matters, not much had gone wrong. I would estimate about 1-4k most years.

An early Diablo is simple. No abs, traction control, airbags, power steering, etc.
So much more like a Countach, than a Murcie.
But it does have ECUs. The varnish on these can go and damp gets in. A new one is expensive but they are easy to repair by someone who knows about electronics.

Amari’s SV was 60k+ miles, hence the price.

£150k or thereabouts is where most of these seem to gravitate too.

Pretty easy to maintain, even the abs on later models is easy to maintain when one or two of the sensors pack up.

I've owned my SE30 for roughly ten years.

In terms of annual maintenance there are no major jobs to do on them. Clutch replacement can sting (my last clutch lasted 5k miles, but a lot of that wear came from around town driving) and a replacement is £2500 +

Allow £1500 pa for servicing. I'm at the office at the minute and don't have the cars file here to check the bill but from memory a set of four tyres supplied and fitted came to £1200

I had a engine overhaul done whilst it was out for some other minor jobs, and that came to £30k IIRC and included rebuild of the diff.

Interior parts can be heard (read impossible) to get hold off. The factory can be very hit and miss with their supply and prices. One part I ordered increased by a factor of 20 a year later.

He won't have sold it, it will have just gone back to the owner.
The chap has quite a few Lambos and doesn't really need to sell them.
