Do these need to be serviced every year....the car I am looking at has expanded the service intervals a little so it's a bit out of sync by around 8/9 months or so however Lamborghini have issued a new warranty on it and the dealer tells me the mileage between service intervals was low so hardly matters...I don't see an issue but refer to you experts here to comment?

Also does anyone know what the "big" £4k service entails?

It seems, just a gearbox oil change, air filter and new sparkplugs!

The extended service intervals I’m sure aren’t that important in the real world however mark my word it will be an issue when you come to sell back to the dealer.

I had a major service on one of my Aventadors, I was told changing 12 plugs in itself was a big job and accounted for over a grand. The rest is oill and filters etc. Be sure to phone around for a quote from other dealers. I saved 600 quid for a major on my huracan with a single phone call.

That said if I didn’t want the main dealer warranty I’d go to an indie for service!

We offer great deals on Mobile Lamborghini Servicing. Aventador spark plugs really aren't hard to do.. The auxillary belts however are a flipping pain!!

as long as it’s maintained according to manufacturer standards, timing and parts it has no impact on warranty. they cannot tie you to using manufacturer servicing or even their parts. EU competition rules (haven’t been changed since Brexit)

Would someone be kind enough to take a width measurement of the Aventador S with the drivers door open - so from the widest point at the top of the door opened to the wing mirror on the passenger side - I need to see if this will fit in my garage!

My Garage width is 3150mm
Auto trader show the car width to be 2265mm but this is probably with the doors closed - need to see if I have enough space to park close to the wall on the passenger side and have enough room to get out inside the garage.

Many thanks

I have learnt, over the years, that the only way to be sure, is to try with an actual car in the actual garage.

Appreciate that but given the rarity of these car's I don't think that is going to be possible! frown

The dealer is over 250 miles away so that won't work.

I think I should be ok as a Range rover fits just fine. Just not sure about how much space the doors need.

An Aventador S also came with a 10 inch model of the car in the same spec. Usually stays with the original owner.

All new cars ordered come with an identical corresponding scale model.

You can get one made to your spec by the same firm. £300-400 from memory.
A nice thing but takes them ages - all v. Italian.
