That explains much smile

that could be quite tiring if you’re planning on tours unless it has a quiet sweet spot.. there must be a valve operated one by now i’d have thought, i’ll have a poke around and see what there is.

With you on the AV colour choice to, looks stunning, i know its sounds a bit strange but there something about a classic that’s less shouty and less about money even though they’re very similar in purchase price, plus i just think the more smoothed out lines of the Murci are just a little more subtle, unlike the diablo before which is more akin to the AV in its eye opening appearance, not to take anything away from the Murci, far from it.

Some cracking weather coming up for you, maybe not early mornings with the ice but those afternoon runs into the sunsets should be epic! getting lots here at the moment in the Vanquish, 5 straight days with roof down runs, nothing better..

Ive been looking at the Murci market in germany and its very healthy for a buyer, big choice and not the normal LHD price hikes, thinking of moving on one in the new year, may move the GTC on for one, I will be watching and learning more on the Murci over christmas.

Hope to read of your ventures thumbup

Not a bad price vs £15k for the Capristo system.. https://www.m4tuning.com/fr/lamborghini-murcielago...

Not that loud in open though but i’m sure there’s probably options with regard to sports cats etc.

Its quite like this

That doesnt sound too bad but my ipad was vibrating a fair bit so maybe too much in the real world, tbh i’d still want selectable as it gives choice of either, spoilt these days eh, all ours have it and i use it whenever driving them.

The Murci ‘might’ be different as its far more single minded in its purpose for most of its usage but the one thing that i’ve seen changes peoples minds, is when they start doing long holiday trips when you have motorway hauls involved, i know you have them planned but i suspect the passenger seat might be empty wink

Since getting a V12, obviously the howl is very different to a V8 burble, which is why we desire it, but its very piercing vs the V8, when ragging it through the gears down a sweeping A road there’s little that can compete for intoxicating noise but i find it very irritating at a constant rev, almost like a baby crying (maybe parents are more tolerant of V12s biggrin) and i have to keep it below 2.5k with valves closed, even at 3k with it closed theres a howl that resonates beyond my tolerance and through a town like that it has people wincing, open valves at 3.5 through town and i would want to shoot myself!

The noise level a V12 operates at is so very different in reality to YT clips and vs my experience with over 40 x V8s thus far, that includes a Tubi maserati, straight pipe ford lightening, decatted TVR v8, Dodge ram V10 custom piped etc etc, they are soooo much louder / piercing but one i fell in love with through the italian tunnels, though i struggle with how anti social it is away from that environment.

The fact the Aston wears a suit makes it more palatable and why i bought it but it was never a dream to own an Aston unlike a Lambo, i cant get away from that fact, you had the nads where i lacked biggrin

My wife bought me a supercar experience at mallory when i was early 20s, 6 different cars were driven and ive owned 5 of them now, but the one picture I have of that day and still to this day sits on my dresser, is a picture of me stood alongside the Lamborghini Diablo, the memory of that car and how much of an impact it made that day, haunts me, as i said to my wife ‘i’m going to have one of those one day’

Now i can have one & i havent, i wrestled it and lost but its still taunting me biggrin

For me Its so weird that your thread on getting a Vanquish helped me go that direction and yet at the same time i made my decision to go for one, you just jumped ship and got the Murci (which i mentally moved onto when it superseded the diablo)

Sorry if its all a bit ott and stalker like, hungover is my excuse whistle

Look forward to your updates & how your passenger views it without dream tinted glasses biggrin

Gave her a wash today and took a few snaps with the phone

Will get the camera out later

They’re a bit of a bugger to clean because of that “shelf” that sits below the doors and collects crap and doesn’t drain.

Early Diablos were the last of the Mohicans - manual, no power steering, no abs, no traction control, no airbags……

Aye, and it felt it smile

If the Murcilago is a little bit less of the ‘Mohican’ then it’ll be perfect, AV has too much intervention for me.

Really need to get my butt in a Murci..
