Your car will be going to Tunbridge Wells (Sevenoaks was forced to close years ago by Lamborghini head office as they were not up to standard). Congrats on the purchase, and I hope that the car is a cracker (looks amazing in that colour).
Speak to the technicians at Tunbridge wells directly whilst the car is there / or better yet make the effort to go down there in person.
VVS wasted a day of mine, showing me a car that had many faults and was nowhere near ready to be retailed.
All the cars sit there, in that warehouse for a very long time and hardly get moved / started etc.
Would love to come and have look / meet up sometime, as I visit Hertford once a month in mine. (AV S)
I remember in 2007 or 2008 whilst working on kensington tube station at night, peering through the window at Lamborghini London at possibly your car. Not many LP640 in that colour. And that is the best colour for an LP640 in my opinion.
I watched this vid many many times....

Yes - Tunbridge Wells. I’m getting mixed up. The report is to me and paid for separately. I have been speaking to the tech already and am paranoid enough to become a pest with a million questions.

I know that the cars sir for a while. Hence wanting every nut and bolt checked. It won’t get used hugely but needs to be in great Nick. A couple of the others were a little more tired as you describe. This one “seems” to be good.

I’m just north of Hertford and would love to meet up when I’ve got it. I’ll keep you posted.

Remember, always, that there’s a large element of luck involved with what happens once you drive any car like this away………..

This is good advice. When they are good, they are an intoxicating wonderful experience that would be hard to rival for any money and I will probably keep mine forever.

When things go wrong, they are VERY expensive. Of course, it’s prudent to do your homework and that will help skew things in your favour but there is definitely an element of luck required to remain problem free for a meaningful period of time.

Good luck and congratulations!

Thanks all. I’m so excited but also realistic. This is a dream come true. Though not until I can afford it going wrong too. Which it will, I know.

I just want to have it and enjoy it together with all that goes along with it.

And big bills are a part of that!

Roll on some time in Jan!!

Many congrats on your purchase , the next 9 months will be the honeymoon lol then after your first major service you will know exactly what needs doing . My sincere advice is don't skimp by putting off the major service and valve checks , get that done as soon as you possibly can, along with the diff oil changes . The rest really is in the lap of the gods . Good Luck !!

Thanks mate. Happy to spend whatever is needed to maintain it in tip-too condition. My wife isn’t, but that’s my problem, not the car’s.
Really looking forward to this…!

Saw your car there sans bumper smile would have gone for yours in that line up, the other orange one is a 6.2 and looking a bit tired, James seems a nice guy though.

Still with them after 5 months though?

Yea. It is a long story. I will collect at the end of June. James keeps sending me pics to tease. It’s ready to go when the bumper is on. Exhaust done, PPF done and all the recommendations from the inspection done. Should be fun when it comes. Six weeks or so to go!
