Thanks. We went to Reims, Verdun overnight, Lausanne, stopped at the French National Motor Museum, then Bologna. Took in the Tonino Lamborghini museum, a couple of workshops to have a look around, a factory tour/museum (though I missed that, as I'd seen the museum the year before) and the Pagani factory. The trip was kindly organised by a fellow owner.

Pretty certain that's the ex Mike Lakes 400 which was restored by Mike Pullen around 2016,

Originally blue with beige interior, was a regular at Mikes Carrera Sport track days along with his Daytona back in the 90's,

Makes the rhd unrestored one that Graham Turner has up for sale for £9995,000 look a positive bargain also on Car&Classic.

112094 LGF 849N

Yes Mike Lakes old car and featured Top Gear a few years back.

I last saw the car in 2014 when painted silver.

Assume it is a commission sale with the owner

Cant recall when we last had two UK RHD LP400 for sale at the same time, if ever.

Now joined by LP400s 1121485 also at Simon Furlonger.

I have posted before, but again remember as a shoolboy seeing 112094 blasting down the Lancs Road on the suburbs of Manchester with its first
owner -
a memorial siting.

Funny how we remember things as far back as our childhood but i for one can't remember anything important like birthdays or anniversaries,

Didn't know that Mikes old car was painted silver before being restored in orange,I just missed the car by minutes when it was collected from

Mike Pullens after the restoration was finished,

Spoke to Mike Lake a few times usually at Goodwood or Castle Coombe , not sure but i think he came from the Manchester area, remember him telling me

about when he was a lad he would deliver papers to a house that often have a Daytona in the driveway, turned out to be the very same car he bought

later in life,

I remember seeing it at Castle Combe (1989 or 90?) when it was blue. I think it managed about two laps before being black flagged for noise, but while it lasted it was the most glorious noise that teenage me had ever heard. You could hear the car all the way around the circuit.

Like most tracks these days it wouldn't even get to do one lap ,

Think that's what killed Mike Pullen's Carrera Sport track days ,the last one being just before the first Revival in 1998,

Got black flagged that day along with others'

Charlie March having to lower the decibel level to get planning permission for five unsilenced days.

Won't be seeing the like of a bunch of Countach's howling down the pit straight again.

Suppose i should think myself lucky to be part of it then yes

Rare cars that don't come up to often with decent history and condition will always sell but looking at the classic

auction results recently you are probably right.

The ex Mike Lake 400 at Simon Furlonger has been for sale ever since it left Mike Pullens workshop back in 2016 by various dealers,

Probably on sale or return basis,

It has gone from one million in 2016 to the new asking price of million and a half so maybe it did find a private owner in between somewhere.

Will be a interesting market this winter.scratchchin

Back in around 1998 I was on a track day in mine at Silverstone with a mate. IIRC the organisers were call the 96 Club. Anyhow, we were giving friends hot laps. I came into the pits full chat, dropped someone, grabbed another and headed out again. Doing about a ton as I got to the first bend, hit the brakes, pedal hit the floor, I shat myself. Managed to get round said bend, thankfully. I hadn't done a cooling down lap and the fluid had boiled. Those were the days biglaugh

Bloody awesome to see those photos of supercars being used as they should and not just Kensington trinkets.

Doug DeMuro has bought a Countach - He seems to really 'get' it too, and has some thoughts on the market

The Graham Turner LP400 is still wearing its 3DUU plate in his advert ,I would have thought it is that LP400 thats in the book.

Not sure whether the plate goes with the car or not, doesn't say in the ad,

I would have thought that it would as it's part of the cars history being so well know in the UK Lamborghini circles.

Mike Lakes car was blue with tan interior and wasn't painted orange still 2016.
