another one showing the size comparison as discussed in earlier messages above I noticed. Gives a good size comparison I think.

It has been a long time, I’ve been busy! The views are stunning aren’t they and the emblem team are great. They look after all my fun cars (even the cobra). My fun cars are now depleted to a more sensible 4 … countach, testarossa, cobra and aventador.

Good god it's ruff at the the bottom ,how will you cope, hehe

Seriously that's not a easy decision , been there myself and better for it,

At least you will drive the four remaining cars more often when it stops raining.

Anywhere in the UK will have the same ,

Cold rain in the north and warmer rain in the south,

Just hope we don't get a repeat of last summer,

Blazing hot in June ,talk of hose pipe bans here in the south and scorched grass followed by the wettest July and August

on record, remember 32c at the Rivival at Goodwood in September. confused

Perhaps i need to move nearer to you if this summer is a repeat of last year, St Tropez would be nice

Yes September was hot ,Too hot at Goodwood i remember on the 9th of October it was 26 c which was crazy.

We have a beach hut on the south coast so very keen to use it in the summer months and winter if mild,

We even have Christmas dinner there to get away from the relatives.

Because of this we look at all the weather reports to make sure it's not a wasted journey

and like a boat has to be used ,We are paying the ground rent to the council all year round so got to make the most of it ,not sure where in the UK

you are but in the south July was a wash out and August wasn't much better with either a sunny morning clouding

over by the time we got to the beach if we didn't leave early enough or the sun coming through around 5 o'clock

for a nice evening, My surfer mate was down by £35K on his taking from the year before and that was only from May to September

with the rest of the beach shops and cafe's being the same, He use to take as much money in August because of the school holiday s than the

whole of the summer put together .

Change of subject ,did you sell your F430 in the end,

I put mine on Collecting Cars and sold it quite easy ,ended up in Australia,

Wanted to go back in years and replaced it with the last of the carburetter 308's GTS's to keep my track day GTB company.

Didn't get on with the paddle shift and wouldn't pay another £35K/£45K for a manual, shame as otherwise i liked the car.

I'm in North Yorkshire.

Had a fantastic week in Scotland with the roof down getting sun burnt during August. If I remember rightly the early summer was the usual rubbish and then it got better August onwards. That the cars were still out in November is crazy.

The F430 finally went in early November.

Well done ,for some reason 430's don't sell as quick as they should,so much a better car than the 360 apart from the exhaust note,

there are some still advertised now that were for sale when i had mine and that was last summer but there could be a reason for that,

I will have to move to North Yorkshire to get a sun tan this summer sun

Well said, RIP Marcello Gandini.
He designed many of my favourite cars ever made.
It was probably the Countach that, as a kid, sparked my fascination with cars.

OMG , He will be up there redesigning the gates of Heaven no doubt,

I was only watching a Tyrrell's Classic Workshop video a few days ago where Iian Tyrrell was interviewing him at his Italian villa

while he was in Italy driving the original " Italian Job" orange Miura around the Alps.

So talented which we probably won't see the likes ever again , R.I.P Marcello

Good to see it’s in good condition underneath, and as straight as I thought it was…

Your comment sums up the Countach to a tee rr, it still looks like something not of this planet. When I bought this book back in 1983 I was mesmerised by the LP500 prototype on the cover...

Imagine seeing an LP400 for the first time out in the wild...

Strange to think that when I bought that book, the LP500 had appeared a full twelve years earlier and ended up being almost destroyed less than ten miles from where I lived at the time!

My mate always compares Lamborghini's to Ibiza where he lives ,

Always a fascinating story to tell, sometimes not only the car but often the owner,. bandit
