great pic! takes me back to school days. Is that the 1978 motor show magazine?
My dad used to buy me those each year, wish I still had them!!!!!
I think the cheapest cars were Fiat 126, skoda estelle and citroen 2CV, all around £2000. dearest cars were RR cam argue and Countach (if memory serves right)
Camargue was the dearest at £47367 and the Countach S was £32500 in sept 1978. I have kep my old Motor show editions and yearbooks. My dad used to buy me those each year, wish I still had them!!!!!

Only ever seen 3 Camargues on the road! The first in 1978.
Great Posts
Keep posting and giving details of the changes in the cars!
Mine was always white with white (totally original, read patina) interior! I have photos of it when new with the first owner the late Fred Fraser the house builder from Northern Ireland.
I will dig out some old pics of Silverstone in 93/94 and post them

i think these look so much better without the rear wing, especially as they don't appear to serve any aerodynamic purpose, and are only on beacause of the Cannonball Run, or so I'm told.
What does everyone else think?
Oh, and this is a great thread with great photos, keep them coming!
No It was nothing to do with the film. Walter Wolf of the ex F1 team tweaked a countach and put the new Pirelli P7 tyres on it. he also put a large wing on the back. this was then picked up and many put similar onto theirs until the factory realised they could make a lot of money selling these at £3500 each but fitted by the customer as they didn't meat regs. What does everyone else think?

They have absolutely no benefit in handling or stability, they are only for show and increase drag and reduce top speed by about 10-15mph. I have only taken mine up to 160mph so I haven't tried to max it out. I have had invites to the Race the Runway events, but couldn't make the dates. I will try though and it would be fun to try with and without. the main problem with these cars is not how fast they go, but how slowly they stop!
Hope this helps.
