Picked up madam yesterday, between the rainy days in the UK, post her ‘preservation’ paint correction. I think she looks wonderful and my chap has done a great job. She’s not perfect. Deep swirls still remain abet reduced. But this is original paint on a car that is 35 years old. So, imho, she should not be perfect. Wear her marks with pride etc.
My detailer and I spent some time discussing options for final finish with ceramic coat, ceramic element wax and others on the agenda. In the end we went for a high end non ceramic wax with a coating of ceramic spray which has around 6 month life of protection, so not a full on baked ceramic coating. As we both concluded that full ceramic would lock in the defects and not allow too much future work to be carried out if required.
I’m very pleased with the results and hope to get some more use before the winter hibernation comes into play.

There's a vid somewhere on the internet that shows a pearl white 5000S spinning on either a Mike Pullen track day at Goodwood
or on a De Tomaso track day at Castle Coombe back in the early 90;s,The reg no was either 15 exy or 18 exy i think , I was there that day
so should be able to remember,
The driver on getting out said he had just taken the car out of storage that day and had forgot to check the tyre pressures,
Wonder if the driver is on here and reading this There is some photo's of it spinning on one of the Lamborghini forums but does anyone
know where the video can be found ??

You're talking about the car, yes ? My detailer and I spent some time discussing options for final finish with ceramic coat, ceramic element wax and others on the agenda.
