Three RHD white anniversarys delivered to the UK all in 1989, so I reckon your photos are Motorshow 1989. Steve Forsters car was the last of the 3, delivered in Nov 1989. One of the first two had a blue interior piped white , somI reckon the Motorahow car is not Steve Forsters. As with all things Lambo historical, this is a best guess!
Robert - I think you are right! The motor show car has amber indicator/side light covers whereas Steve's car doesn't. Assuming they weren't replaced then it's not the same car. Amazing seeing as the interior looks the same blue and white piping!

That's the one at Simon Furlonger. As noted, it's such a shame the interior isn't the way it would've been, i.e. a shiny black finish rather than the matt finish. Was blue/tan original do you know?

Hi,

Back again, having scanned a fair few more photos from the earliest supercar test days in 87 and 88.
These are pretty much all Countach photos by the way. I had put them all in a separate album when I was a kid so that they were all largely arranged by car.

Apologies for the image quality of some of these. I had an appalling old 110 (I think?) format camera which had a hopelessly small negative size. Anyway, perhaps it all adds to the nostalgia.

Yes this is me below as a Campari ski jacket sporting, Countach obsessed 14 year old.

US spec injection car. As I have stated on another thread, I think this was a hire car at the time, but may have just been a rumour.

Always thought my photos never did justice to the pearl white cars. Was a lovely colour, although I recalled if parked next to a non-pearl white car they did look like they were a little dirty.

Robert - here is a question for you if you are are reading this...

Is Steve Forster's old Countach below, the same one that Vic Sawyer (VFS 141) and Paul Dennis(?) (C416...) owned? I wonder, gven that the car had colour co-ordinated wing mirrors.

Thanks

SS

Ok, here are a few action shots. As I say, never had a decent enough camera, didn't have an SLR at the time, so these shots were tricky and hadn't quite got the panning technique honed.

Right so that is 124 pictures just uploaded. Hope that keeps you going for a little bit.

What is to follow?
Well I have some snaps of other Lambos - Espadas and the like - from the Supercar test days and then after that I have plenty more Lambo ones from the 90s Silverstone Historic festivals.
Something for the new year.

Marry Christmas everyone!

Thanks

Wow, what a fantastic find that video is!!!

I'd love to see that. Hope your plan works.

If not, I have a dvd hard drive recorder which I can hook up to a VHS player and happy to help if push comes to shove.

Ah thanks for confirming Robert.

I recall the blue interior now from that SuperCassics magazine article back in 1995.
Hadn't realised it was the car ink the Performance Car magazine either.

Wow, what a turn up! Not a rental then?

What did the gold plaque on the glove box say? Was always curious of that.

Hope you liked seeing the photos again.

Yes it would be great if your Dad can remember.

So in relation to the super car test days I found this old article inRed Line magazine from late 1987.

Thought I'd share.

Hi Mike,

If you are referring to me, it's not Steve, it's David. Doesn't matter, glad you've taken the time to register and make yourself known!

I'm glad you've enjoyed seeing the snaps and stirring fond memories of the old test days. I, as I am sure everyone else, would love to see what pictures you have lurking away in the loft and it would be great if you want to share them on this thread.
There must be plenty of other secret hoards of supercar test day snaps that will hopefully come out of the woodwork in time.

Anyway, look forward to seeing your uploads in due course!

Cheers

Well done Mike - a good start.
Oh and sorry but we already have a Robert on this thread so you'll have to think of another ;-)

Seeing those really makes me wish I took more photos of non Lambo cars, but I was so awe struck by the Countach I kept using up my rolls of 24s on them.

As for uploading, I upload them to Flickr and then use the BBL code they provide to put into the PH thread. All pretty simple.

Martin - stop teasing and get scanning!
That reminds me, next week I will attempt to scan my non-Countach Lambo snaps from my albums.

Cheers
SS

Why whittle? We aren't going anywhere and happy to see more over a longer period of time! 150 sounds like a good start :-)

Seriously though, having gone through much of mine I understand it takes a fair amount of time but I plan on putting everything up eventually.
