Fantastic memories. I too used to regularly get off the tube at Parsons Green when I wasn't in school and walk down to Heathmans around the same time. Always used to take a peek in at the BMW dealer at the top of the road too. I remember David once had an ex-Jo Siffert F1 BRM just sitting out in the yard. First time I ever got up close with a real F1 car and I'm sure David said it was cool to sit in it but I think I didn't for fear of breaking something..

Blimey. Where do I start. I only discovered Heathmans a few months before It closed. I went there many times, but only ever saw one Countach there (a white Anniversary), and so have mainly experienced Heathmans via their amazing adverts!

Funnily enough, I saw this picture of the RHD red Lamborghini 400 GT at the Lamborghini museum earlier this year and wondered why it is RHD and has a UK number plate.

BRK756Y is the black car - it has had an amazing life with lots of well known owners, seen in public a lot and a great car.

C537YEH - ah! The photo... it came from the current long term owner of the red LP5000S!!!! So it is clearly still in the history file!!!!

Do you know any more about C537YEH - I have never worked out which car it is. Do you happen to know anything else about it at all?

More to follow. So many gaps and connnections!

Hi Robert, C537YEH, 1986 QV White with blue leather and white stripes, originally supplied with factory un-painted wheels and when David sold it to the 19year old DJ (N.Ross) he wanted the wheels painted in white. chassis no. (can't remember). He gave me the original number plates as a gift as a Private Number plate was put on the car, it changed to N R0SS, then when he returned it two weeks later, it reverted back to C537YEH. I remember having to bring back the original Portman plates for David to put them back on the car. In the engine bay it was all standard, however when I looked at the ignition pack it had (written in thick felt pen) which I remember being in the boot I think, it had "Race" written on it.

I then remember David selling a white QV, registered in 1988 with red interior and white piping but not a skirted car, sports exhaust. It belonged to a Keith Pirelli (banker/stock broker) reg 31KP which he sold in 1990, and in the cockpit was an extended binnacle for the Alpine stereo and graphic equalisers. Basically an 88Spec car but again it was not skirted, the car came with a painted spare rear wheel which David gave to me for my 19th birthday and for which I made into a coffee table. That car was there for about a week and it was sold straight away. The financial thunderstorm of 91 was on the horizon and the cars started coming in to be shot of.

I also remember the Acapulco Blue 5000S (Reg LPO1) which he got from Mike Perry (Portmans) along with their Silver demonstrator Jalpa. Circa 1988 this was. The 5000S had a blue interior and rather than the leather gearshift, it had an aluminium turned one. (the originals, well they didn't last that well). That car after a month went back to Portman's and was sold to a Nigerian guy, Prince Adebayou Yinka.

I then saw it again at the first Lambo Club meet Dave took me to which was held in Brentford. That was an amazing day as one of the Five star pop group members turned up in his QV (White with dark blue/black with white piping), white painted wheels and painted wing mirrors, smooth belly car, reg (326DEL or DEL326 I think) and a double antenna at the rear. Derek Pearce I think was his name. Well being an un-ashamed fan I went snap happy with my camera on his car. I remember that day too as it was when Barry Robinson was being handed his "BR33" Anniversary Countach and the place was rammed with all the cars. That was a great day and I'm forever grateful for David for taking me to it and paying for my first Lamborghini Club membership.

Those days can never be replicated and those cars, well they lit the fuse for me, to say I was obsessed by Lamborghini and of course the Countach would be the understatement of the millennia! My mum got so worried with me spending so much time with David and Lambos, she rang him and asked, "What exactly are you doing with my son!" LOL!!! Honestly, It was the best times, and when he used to ask me, right what car shall we take out? Well that I just couldn't put into words.

Mauricefontana you'll love this, since you've been posting great pics of the Portman Service Centre in Brentford! Here is the Sign at the entrance when they vacated the premises and the place was eventually knocked down and re-developed. I wasn't going to let this sign go to scrap so I grabbed it for posterity. I lived in Richmond at the time and Brentford Service Centre was ten minutes away from me, God I had a misspent youth but I wouldn't change a minute of it! "Unit 3 Lamborghini Deca U.K. Brabus". Portman Service Centre became a Brabus agent and Deca I think (but not sure) was a forklift company. Happy Days!!!

Barry Martina, was David's Salesman, but unfortunately they parted ways in early 1986. Barry then opened the Italian Car Centre in Kimber road, which later became Pullicino classics and now Joe Macari. Barry passed away a couple of years ago.

I remember too the "black smoker" (David's words not mine) BRK....somethingY (I'll check the albums later) Black with Tan/Honey interior, which he had and it had just come from a supercar shootout in the Isle of Wight against an Aston Vantage, 911 Turbo, Esprit Turbo and a BB512. I'll never forget that first ride in it, when he took me out to Pizza Express in Fulham road. I of course step out and go in to order and all the waiters walk (read ran out) out to look at the car!!! So I stood there like a plum for ten minutes waiting to get our Pizza order in!! It was hilarious to watch!!

David had "BR33" in 1986 with the Alpine stereo and it's blue printed engine! 425BHP from that 2valver! That was amazing to see it in the flesh! God those doors were heavy and nearly chopped my arm off!! They wouldn't stay up as the speakers were so so heavy! Great sounds though!!! It was a lovely car and a real belter! I remember seeing it's alloys and thinking why on earth are they so scuffed! But hey this was the eighties and they were daily drivers for some people! Somewhere in the attic I've got that poster that portman's did with the caption "About 155 in the rain" when it broke outright records at Millbrook and tons of Counatch mags on BR33.

I recently met Steve Cropley who wrote the amazing article on "BR33" Barry Robinson's QV "Blazing back to Britain" and he kindly signed that centre page for me as that write up made such an impression to me as a young kid, Steve Cropley was just brilliant and he couldn't believe that anyone actually cared about his write ups.

BRK756Y, Thats it!!!! Great stuff Mauricefontana!!! Great pics too of Brentford! LP400 was Mike Lake's car now orange and restored by Mike at Carrera Sport. I think its with Furlonger cars in Kent now. Mike really drove that Countach properly and it was such an amazing colour that Blue Tahiti. In the background of the Brentford pic on the ramp was an Anniversary Countach 3DUU which was also owned by Richard Earl (I think) who also had the Periscope car in orange with the same plate. He had a bookend matching pair. Same colour interior and exterior. Somewhere in one of my Lambo books is a picture of it when new pre-delivery at the factory in Sant.Agata.

Anyone remember the Tony Wilkenson car 5000S Red with white Reg. 5038TW, I remember him visiting heathens and he also had an Espada (red series 2 car) with a similar reg. God those were the days!!! Great stuff to all those contributors. Viva Lambo!!!!

I remember going to an event in Piccadilly with Peter Leonard Morgan whereby it was an Italian Airways hosted jaunt called "Italia uni mode di Vivre" and on display was Claudia Rahman's (Lebanese interior designer) Diablo in Fucia Magenta Pearl pink (to match her nail varnish). Lovely car and lady and that car was amazing!

Richard Earl owns (still today) an LP400 3DUU in orange and a matching Countach Anniversary G612VYT then A3DUU in orange. They were advertised for sale in the 1990s together, but they are still with Richard Earl. Here are some photos (not mine):

Here is a photo of his 5000S (not my photo)....... and here is his Espada ... at Heathmans [which became Exoticar when David retired]! The Miura SV in the foreground was converted from LHD to RHD by Graypaul, and owned by JayKay.

5 star Countach owners were brother and sister Denise and Delroy Pearson. They had a black 88 Countach and the white QV you describe, which was indeed 326DEL.

Here is a photo (not mine), which I believe was taken that day - is it one of yours?

BR33 was the first UK RHD Countach Anniversary chassis number, then the second was F928OYR.

Do you have any more photos from that day - it looks amazing!

Hi Robert, great find!!!! And yes that Picture is mine too of the BR33 Anniversary!!!! WOW!!!!! That is amazing and an amazing day!!! I went Spaz with my camera that day as I had just bought my first SLR camera a Nikon 401.Christ I'm going to dig my stuff out. In the background white shirt on the right is Mike Pullen, bloke with the red tie the left is Mike Perry and tall guy with the thinning hair and glasses is Piet Pulford, The bloke with the puffed up jacket and reddish hair next to the kid in the striped shirt don't know his name but he owed the Peach 5000S with the mid-brown interior that was later restored by Modena in High Wycombe (Graham Schultz) who turned it to dark navy blue with black wheels. The car sold and went to Australia.

The year before at the same venue they did the same event for a hand over of an 88Spec QV skirted car F920OYR or F924OYR red car rear wing, tan interior possibly red piping like Paths old car which was wingless. Great stuff!!!! Man you really can't out Countach a Countach. I think on both occasions Mike Pullen turned up in his low body car which he still has with the WUGUN reg. Ex Frank Bradley car. FJB1 reg
