I swear I've got an almost identical photo of Countach E401LYH, I'll see if I can find it later.

Barry Martina, was David's Salesman, but unfortunately they parted ways in early 1986. Barry then opened the Italian Car Centre in Kimber road, which later became Pullicino classics and now Joe Macari. Barry passed away a couple of years ago.

1990 Italian Car Centre
I’m fairly certain the silver RHD Urraco behind the Countach has to be the one me and my brother collected from Barry at Heathmans/Exoticar in 1992 having chopped in a 71 Corvette as part payment.
While there I had the opportunity to have a sit in the Miura DRY976K which was in the showroom as was the Espada in the picture on page 16 of this excellent thread.

Can't remember exactly where I took this, either Castle Coombe or Silverstone in the 90's but was certainly an unusual colour that divided opinion . Reg check comes back being blue now but not taxed since 2003.
I remember seeing that car as a kid, I presume that there was only one that colour, as far as I remember it was on School Lane, Seer Green, Bucks.

Remember seeing this countach at Emblem Sports cars , Blamford Dorset back in the day , it must have been almost new then and was left there for storage, the the story goes that it was ordered in this flesh colour with colour coded wheels which was rare in those days, with dark tan leather ,was told the guy walked in the showroom with a Dulux colour chart and ordered the car in this colour, i was also told that he sold his house to buy it and moved into a caravan but that part may not be true, if it is that's what you call real passion, anyone out there can verify that, think the third owner who i believed lived in Beaconfield , really nice guy who i spoke to a few times, He said that he couldn't really afford to run it but it had survived a divorce and was trying to keep the car even if he couldn't afford to put petrol in it; He said he would save 2k and give it to Mike Pullen and for Mike to phone him when the work got to that amount and he would save a bit more to carry on, i then saw the car at Mikes Carrara Sport day at Goodwood a few times and maybe Castle Coombe ,although the owner said he didn't really want to sell i did see it advertised in the Sunday Times a couple of times for £29,950, OUCH ! i remember him telling me that he really wanted to sell it to someone who will keep it the original colour but last i herd it had a colour change and was exported to Australia which would explain not being taxed since 2003, would have loved to have bought it at the time especially with that story and unique colour but i had just gone through a eye watering divorce myself and had a Jalpa to sell first that he didn't want in p/ex, the car was well know in the Lamborghini circles at the time ,can anyone put more light on this,

I saw this Countach, but struggling to find the photos of it that I know I have, it was the first Countach I sat in, at Castle Combe, I think in the very early '90s.
The car was up for sale that day at £135,000! I guess just before the market crashed!

I talked with its owner and he told me that he had painted his garage door a shade of dulux, well, sort of beige, and then had his Countach painted to match his garage door!!

That's interesting Martin 350 ,do you know if he was the first owner who ordered in his garage door colour or did he do a colour change after he took delivery, in that case what is the original colour ,sorry for asking but i seem to have this obsession with this car, Ye i remember the mad hype around 89/90 all to well, turned down £72k for my 308 gts carbs and sold it for £26k a few years later, wasn't being greedy but doing ok at the time and just didn't want to sell it ,not one of my better decisions ,then added a 911 turbo to the garage right at the top end of the market and wrote that off in the New Forest just as prices were in free fall ,lost money on that as the insurance company were aware of this and didn't agree with my valuation but still got a higher price than if i had tried to sell it prior to the accident,

“Colour coded wheels” - I remember Del Hopkins telling me that the white colour coded wheels on my 5000S were not factory original. He told me that none of the colour coded wheels were.
Took mine back to the original silver.

Reminds me of a rumour that spread like wildfire in my school that our headmaster was a secret Lambo owner, He acquired a new level of respect from us all for a month or so until we all realised it wasn't true!

Did notice that the only colour coded wheels that i've seen have been on white countach's apart from the flesh coloured one so assumed that they are factory painted, if this one was factory painted being such a outrageous request colour wise even by Lamborghini standards maybe they would have gone along with colour coding the wheels at the factory ,i suppose only the first owner will know that or past records, (really think i got to much time on my hands with this lockdown i'm turning into a anorak )
