I only knew him from Portman and we lost contact for about ten years then reconnected again in the 2000's so you would have known him before me.
Thanks for the reply

Three RHD white anniversarys delivered to the UK all in 1989, so I reckon your photos are Motorshow 1989. Steve Forsters car was the last of the 3, delivered in Nov 1989. One of the first two had a blue interior piped white , somI reckon the Motorahow car is not Steve Forsters. As with all things Lambo historical, this is a best guess!
You are correct Robert! The first one was KLA12486, blue interior piped white. The second one was KLA12526, also blue interior piped white, but this one also had a factory fitted blue steering wheel! Just like on David's picture of the Motorshow, so now we know ;-) Steve Forster had KLA12814.

And this is me standing next to Steve Forster's (?) QV. I can't work out why it has the same reg as the White anniversary. I don't recall going to such an event twice. I must have got some snaps mixed up. Anyway doesn't matter too much I guess. The main thing is putting them up and sharing.

Fantastic David!
Reminds me of myself....seeing a Countach as a kid was mind-blowing!
Really appreciate you took the time to scan and post all these priceless pictures from the good old days!

I also started with a little pocket camera, as can be seen on this picture of me 14 years old in 1981 with the Ferrari 308, the camera is on the foreground.

I saw my first Countach in september 1981 here in Holland, and since then I'm hooked ;-)

This is me on my socks in August 1982 when we got back from holidays in Italy, and this Ferrari 512 BB was at a fuel station in Germany (of topic sorry)

And my first ride in a Countach LP400 S, Sept 1992, Sweet memories ;-)

If it's any help these were definitely taken in October 1989 at the Motorshow.

Thanks! Yes this helps a lot! If the show was in October, it probably was the Steve Forstner KLA12814 after all.
That car left Sant Agata on 11 October 1989 heading for the UK, together with KLA12815 a black 25AV, and KLA12822, Red/Champagne red piped,
wich is most likely the other car at that Show in october 1989. Brand new cars! What was the date of that show? Is it possible? So Forstner also had a blue steering wheel?

Here we go: 19.–29.10.1989 Earls Court, London
Fits perfectly ;-)

Hi all,

This is a Black/Champagne LHD Countach 5000 S in England, with very strange little red plates "2838"
Is this a GB plate? South Africa?
I know there was a Black/Champagne LHD delivered new to a Mr. Gabel in London. Could it have been this car?

Definitely not South Africa as there has never been a plate like that.

I just have been informed by Kevin that this is probably 12731.
This car was delivered new to Isa Abdullah Al Khalifa Bahrein, Emirati Arabi.
That might explain those strange plates?
Car was in London, UK, and later to Norway.

The Countach was often seen in London,it was yellow RHD and owned by Adnan Khashoggi,it is now being restored at the Lamborghini Factory [see pic]
The Khashoggi car was LP400 #1120204, delivered July 1976 car, so this car pictured in London in 1975 can't be the same car. #1120204 also had mirrors on both sides from new, this one has none...still a mystery car?

Sorry for the delay - the gold plaque said Albert Sivera, the car was built special by Lambo for him
Hi Rkinzz, Do you perhaps know if that car was sold from England to Auto Kremer in Germany? There was a black/red Injected car, later sold to Holland.
It was claimed that this was the ex car of Jean-Claude Duvalier, nicknamed "Baby Doc", a Haitian politician who was the President of Haiti from 1971 until he was overthrown by a popular uprising in 1986. But now I'm beginning to wonder if that car could have been your dad's car!

the car was imported from the USA by Mike Mullen of Carrera Sport. my Dad owned the car for approx 2-3 years and then I believe it was sold to someone in Holland. the car was made for Alberto Silvera - it had a gold plaque on the glove box

I wouldn’t want to drive around town with no wing mirrors!

This car was at Ville d'Este a few years ago and is owned by a well known collector in the Netherlands. The restoration was done some years ago I think about 8 or so . under the guidance of Joe Sackey, the well known Lambo expert and enthusiast from California who incidentally owns the lovely plum Countach 5000qv .

I really like the ex Alberto SIlvera ( ex hotel owner in Haiti graced by the rich and famous in period) car not least because it features heuer clocks on the dash that are stylish and its in the lovely Miura blood orange colour. I have met the owner at a Goodwood event and he is a gentleman so the car is with a very good home. I am sure Marcel of the Countach Register would know a lot more about the car.
