The Pink Lambo , we had it in our waiting room at our Dental practice in Barnsley .
It was the principles car .He was a highly regarded practitioner in those days and I had the pleasure to work with him for a couple of years after graduation.
The reason it was in the waiting room because of a blown the engine .Something about a duff service and hot metal getting ingested .
We used it to attract patients , bit of a talking point .
On the practice open day we shoved it outside into the shopping precinct , tied balloons on it and took pics of kids sitting in it .
The principals daily was a white 911 , Later the car was repainted white .
The clue to the dentist name is in the colour.
The reason he specced it pink was simply to stand out and be different , he like being the first and different at stuff .This contradicts his personality he was a very shy guy .
There were 4 of us young just qualified dentist working with him in the late 80 ,s all of us went on to very successful and car nuts , and on to run our own successful practices .
Hardly surprising with that car sat in the waiting room for the patients to relax looking at it .
After a few Porsche’s I ended up with red Testarossa and since a few other F cars .

I was lucky to sit in his Countach at Goodwood in the early 90s - pics on my Lambo photos from the 90s thread I started a while back - when I was a young teenager - he was very kind gent. I understand he went on to also own a very yellow Diablo but think that got resprayed a different colour at a later date...not pink though.
And the true Countach colour origin came from his wife's blue jeans and pink belt - and this has come from the horses mouth! A nice shiny smiley mouth.
cheers

A bit tangential - not sure where this ad appeared, but it wasn't very effective. Only 29 were sold in the UK in six years, so I guess when the man who thought he had everything realised he didn't have one of these, he must have decided that he didn't need everything after all.
Is that a Bitter? I've never seen one in the flesh but quite liked the design. I didn't even know they had any dealers in the UK. All LHD I presume?cgt2 said:

I remember this garage well - always had some amazing cars.
I was so excited when (at the age of 10) my mum told me she was buying a car from there. Sadly, rather than a classic Ferrari or Lotus, it was a Rover 216 convertible... No idea why they had that in stock, but turns out it wasn't all supercars!

Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to my post.
Does anyone have any Wheelhouse Lortas Road advertisments from the 1980's?
Have you looked through the archives probably stored in the central library on Angel Row in Nottingham, well possibly after the lockdown has been lifted.Does anyone have any Wheelhouse Lortas Road advertisments from the 1980's?
