Well, it doesn't really matter what you would call them does it?
If they're fitted to the car as standard, then they're standard tyres, which I would expect
to be road legal.
made me chuckle. Arm chair critic poo poos the P1 set up on track from afar. I think you will find it is another marque starting with a big 'F' who are known for taking the pi55 with their optimised vehicles. They are welcome to add 200 hp and racing slicks to the LaF and it still won't beat the P1 time. Well done McClaren. What a wondrous machineIf they're fitted to the car as standard, then they're standard tyres, which I would expect
to be road legal.

Anyone know how these compare to an Enzo or a Buggatti? Just interested in how things are moving on.
1/4 mile is faster than a Veyron SS and 300kph-0 is also better than the current Guinness world record time, which was set by the Agera R (6.66S) whereas the non-official record is held by the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (6.5s and 269m). We have to keep in mind that the P1 is a track monster and was not specifically made for pure straight-line speed and acceleration. sjn2004 said:

The F1 is the only McLaren I really make a point to focus my attention on. I am a fan of the brand and do certainly try to stay on top of all the new stuff. I am thrilled to see them building road cars again, but so far I have not made any attempt to keep track of 12Cs in the same fashion. I have been asked a few times what I plan to do with P1s and I am not quite sure yet - it is really a lot of work to manage a registry of sorts and I don't like doing anything by half if I can avoid it.

I just picked up Autocar's fantastic P1 supplement, was admiring the double page shot of the interior with the stunning carbon, then noticed the dashboard display was showing a ESC Fault - Vehicle Limp home. Doh.
still cool book, I have a mint copy of driving ambition the F 1 road car book with a mint poster, I picked up back in the day from WHS, glad I did looked on ebay what they fetch now, could not afford one now.
