I went Alcantara interior with carbon pack but leather wheel. Love the look and feel of the Alcantara but didn't want it on the wheel, had an Alcantara wheel on my lambo previously and it really degraded over the course of a couple of years.
are you sure that the lambo wheel wasn't suede ?
even with the full alcantara interior ( superleggera ), lambo would only supply me with a leather or suede steering wheel
Possibly andrew I'm terrible with details (I could never remember which colour white the car was when people asked me!), if it was suede then I'd advise avoiding that.

Lambo steering wheels are proper thick suede not alcantara and look shabby in no time. Its quite coarse and not fine like alcantara but can get hard and shiny from sweaty hands.
Very difficult to clean them up effectively as well

Yes that does, thanks.

Great to hear the car is being used as it was intended.
Lamborghini mever intended it to spend its entire life being driven to kfc, dogging, and "car meets" smile

Just found this, important thread for me confused
I've always had roadsters for the last 15 years and doing Euro trips for 2 weeks at a time with the roof down the interior ALWAYS gets dusty and grubby.
I'm a bit concerned suntan lotion smoothered hands are going to stain the wheel, door handles and anywhere else they touch. It's not too bad getting it off leather, how is Alcantra going to fare?
Also the dust tends to be VERY abrasive as its often fine sand sucked in the cabin as we "make progress"
In the Aston even gently vacuuming it off with a paint brush scratches the plastics and marks the leather
Any Spider owners able to comment?
