As per the title
I'm trying to find the width of a 650/12C with the doors open
Look on the MCL site and googled it no luck frown
I don't have a manual but I guess its in there?

Don't know why they didn't do a Laferrari or Huayra style door opening forwards. Takes up much less room. I know it's probably to link to the F1 but with these doors I occasionally catch a kerb and also find I need as much room as a conventional door whereas my previous SLS needed much less room and I could park quite close to walls without any problems

We've had this type of thread in the past - you need about 20 inches outside the width of the car to open the door enough to slide out

Interesting, would you say you need more room than conventional doors?

It's more about entry and exit in tight spaces. With the merc SLS the doors needed less room to open so I could park closer to a wall than with conventional opening doors. With the Mclaren it appears to need the same amount of space as conventional doors as the swing outwards but don't go up high enough to allow easy access without having to do a slight bit of bending. Just an observation really. Doesn't make much difference once you're in the driving seat!

Exactly why I asked the question as my Aston has very long doors and needs loads of space.
I note the 540/570 is improved.

With MonoCell II on the 540/570 the door almost goes upright so entry/exit is far easier, especially with the lowered/narrower sill of the cell.

Get any 2 seat, V12 Lambo since the Miura. The doors go straight up. If you can get in the garage, you can get out the car!
