After spending some time drooling at McLaren Birmingham yesterday, I am close to being convinced I need a 570GT in my life. Can McLaren owners tell me how they manage getting in/out in normal right angle parking spaces? My office car park can be a bit tight with all the expensive cars in it, as a regular use car it may find itself in town centre car parks too.

Thanks.

Not that I park in car parks with mine but you will find the arc of the door is actually less than a conventional door, certainly when fully open.

As said above the arc of the doors is no more than a normal door.

HOWEVER where as you can squeeze in and out of a normal door when half open - the Mac doors need to be fully open to be able to be used.

You will have to be careful in car parks to make sure, someone doesn't park along side you too closely - thus stopping you being able to get into the car. This has happened to me once - fortunately I was able to climb in through the passenger seat.

When I park in car parks I try and make sure I park at the end of the line (drivers side to the end) still fits fine in the space but it does prevent me getting blocked in.
