Not quite sure what you would do with it though....

It's hard to imagine that McLaren wouldn't want that back!

It is kinda cool though. My local Audi Centre has an R8 which has been cutaway on one side. From outside the showroom it look like a normal car. From inside you can see that the other side is missing all the bodywork. These must have been extremely expensive to produce.

Buy a 917 body or an Ultima and get the hacksaw out.

I wonder how hard it would be to make it function, presumably everything works if you stick some power on it and a bit of wiring.

I'm sure you can buy a body that will fit over it somewhere.

How much would you get back if you sold it for scrap parts or melted it down for metal money. Probably not the £35k asking price.

The engine on its own is worth much more than that.
My new gearbox was £28,000 plus fitting plus vat.
Its a steal!

I believe McLaren made ~10 of these for dealerships. The engines have no internals.

:-)

Now that does not surprise me thinking about it
whens an engine not an engine

all of a suddenly what looks like a bargain is not

I do know that McLaren made the dealers pay them for these
