BTW there are only 35 RHD 650 Coupes in the world, be shear accident they are one of the rarest cars, never mind McLaren's, ever made.
More likely by demand, not accident. Hard to make a case for a Coupe for a parcel shelf and subjectively nicer profile (but not with the roof open).

But of course, it that’s your preference and it’s a keeper, that’s a great opportunity.

The funny thing is, people will then spend £5k for a sports exhaust which still is dominated by moaning induction sounds in the cabin in the coupe - but with the touch of a finger in the spider you have the full glory through the back light.

Out of intrest, that there are only 35 RHD coupe’s, how many 650 spiders are there?

I wouldn’t rely on How Many. Some of the 650’s were registered as 12C’s. I don’t know why.

Yeah, that's never right. Got to be well over 200 650Sin this country from my enquiries.
Its saying only 21 675LT spiders and I've been told by several McLaren dealers its between 40 to maybe 50 tops RHD in UK.
For some reason there seems to be more UK RHD 675LT coupes than spiders but that maybe because its a track focussed car and didn't McLaren stitch coupe owners up by initially saying there was only going to be 500 coupes worldwide and there wasn't going to be as spider version only to cave into demand.
If there are only 21 675LT spiders in UK that makes my chances of getting the right one nigh on impossible I would of thought.
I'm already looking at compromising my ideal spec working on only 40 being in the country and seemingly 10 ie 25% for sale at any time.

You’ll be lucky to see that spec hit the classifieds. If I were you I would contact AB and ask if he can hunt one down for you. He’s well connected and has contacts within the MOC UK.

Good shout thanks. I've spoken to every Mac dealer recently but must admit i could do with speaking to Alistair again as it must be pre lockdown I last had a chat with him.
He did say there were a few potential cars out there to my spec but your right they may never be advertised publicly if at all for sale

Ok thanks, I've been into my profile and ticked the PM consent box so hopefully it works now.

Is your pal a dealer or an owner ?

Also many McLaren have been registered as McLaren 'Missing' rather than by model eg Q3 2015 1 coupe 3 spider 2 675 LT 32 missing 27 12C

The 35 RHD figure for 650 coupes was not from HML it was from a McLaren source a few years ago. As the spider and coupe were released at the same time most owners went for the spider.

I am confident there are around 70 x 675LT coupes in the UK and around 35-40 spiders. As I have said many times before I had to wait 2 years for a spec I was happy with to show up, either chicane grey or papya spark coupe. I know over half of the 675LT owners and almost all are long term owners so from the 110 available, 55 will not be for sale anytime soon, another 15 are currently for sale and that leaves around 40 in collections or with owners unknown.

Your perfect spec Napier green is currently for sale at TOP555 for £209k. You can add wing louvres for around £10k (i think but last i heard MSO had run out and have no plans to make more). The 10 spoke wheels can be bought used for around £8k. So bag the TOP55 car for £205k and buy the louvres and wheels for £20k inc. fitting and painting your perfect car exists for £225k so what are you waiting for? Your chances of another popping along in Napier are exceedingly slim. There is a Papaya one at Bramley too so get your skates on or you will miss out, I know at least 3 other people looking for spiders ATM.....

I thought RamboLambo had already bought a Napier green 675LT spider?

That was one of the last pictures he posted before disappearing.

A volcano orange 675 spider with that spec (bar having 5 spoke 675 branded wheels) was advertised just immediately pre lockdown for £198k after starting at £215k late Feb.

I enquired about it but was either sold or withdraw as I was only told it was no longer available.

My 650 spider has all of the exterior carbon even down to scuttle panel...that 675 was the first one I have seen with similar amount of carbon and maybe should of tried harder to convince myself to go for it.

That I'm not really fussed probably tells me that I made the right call.

If I decide otherwise it has to be volcano orange or napier green.

Used the 650 yesterday for a 250 mile round trip through to Edinburgh...rain was torrential but as normal car was a 1st class mode of transport....even briefly had the roof down when it stopped raining...really cannot recommend it enough to anyone considering buying one.

However, if it was a 675 spider, I doubt I would of taken it as I feel as though I would be a bit more precious about it... and that there is my issue....

Yeah thats the lines I'm thinking along now.
Probably go and see the basic Oscar Jacobs car with 100 miles on it working on basis I can add £30k of options to it to get close to my ideal spec.

Changing wheels is no big deal so looks like there are 3 currently I could work with.
I don't know why but the mere mention that this Rambo Lambo guy possibly having a green mac is somehow putting me off the colour and favouring orange. I dont think I could face turning up to a meet and being abused by mistaken identity.
God knows what he did to upset the pistonhead massif its only a forum FFS

His three cars before he was ejected if I remember correctly were a 430 scud, a performante and a 675LT spider! You are definitely at risk of mistaken identity.

But they are three fantastic cars so probably quite a common “holy trinity”.

Congrats on the future purchase.

Seriously Are you on the wind up ? Does he also have a Urus for the missus ?

Not wishing to cast aspersions but how does an Ikea manager afford 3 supercars. I'm in the wrong businesses if there is that much money in cheap flat packed furniture from Sweden
