Not wishing to cast aspersions but how does an Ikea manager afford 3 supercars. I'm in the wrong businesses if there is that much money in cheap flat packed furniture from Sweden
I thought it was Kia, not Ikea?

I am confident there are around 70 x 675LT coupes in the UK and around 35-40 spiders. As I have said many times before I had to wait 2 years for a spec I was happy with to show up, either chicane grey or papya spark coupe. I know over half of the 675LT owners and almost all are long term owners so from the 110 available, 55 will not be for sale anytime soon, another 15 are currently for sale and that leaves around 40 in collections or with owners unknown.
Are they really as rare as that ?
I'm being told maybe 40 to 50 tops. If there were only 500 coupes and 500 spiders worldwide why has UK got 70 coupes 14% and yet only 40 8% spiders when we have one of the highest % of convertible cars normally

I know there is always a mystery around exact Ferrari numbers and I believe my scud was one of 165 UK RHD cars originally although its not numbered as such.
I always thought 675LT's had specific chassis numbers 001 -1000 that identified them. Thats what I'm seeing on the cars I have looked at so far.

So from what you are saying I could be fishing in a pool of literally 20 spider cars. That's mad and if they are that rare surely the cars would be worth more ??

Any views on this car and dealer ? Only an hour from me so maybe worth a visit over the weekend. Looks to have more carbon and less miles than the Top 555 green car but a year older and same money

I'm pretty sure kia have 7 years warranty.
Maybe he is selling mclaren extended warranties as there certainly must be big money in those and because of all the bad press on tinternet everyone is scared to buy a mac without one.
Must be a licence to print money that

I spoke to John Thorne today about his warranty if I get a 675LT and fair play to the guy he said he was happy to take my money but said with my predicted mileage and use he would self insure as apart from track work potentially blowing some clips they are pretty robust cars

Bramley has been around a long time. See link https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/cars/talk... Nice stock. Not cheap. Nowhere really to park except the public library car park across the road...! I've bought from Top555 but not Bramley, though Mr. Gregg dealt professionally with my enquiry/visit.

There usually make around 10% of cars in RHD for the UK so just over 100 cars overall is correct. Probably fewer spiders as most UK owners had bought the coupe thinking there would not be a spider.

McLaren told me customers could choose their chassis number on the 675 so while they were intended to be in sequence there are plenty of anomalies. There are some extra cars too over the 1000, the 688HS and full carbon series so probably about 1050 or so in total.

But yes you are fishing in a very small pool so if you see a car you like in the spec you want you need to act.

Thanks for info. I've heard of choosing number plate numbers but not chassis numbers.
I would imagine that's impossible to coordinate.
They would of had to have had or the numbers allocated before production started.

At least with specific chassis numbers you know the number is the number built
I am dubious of this 1 of 499 numbering as there is no way of checking its not 1 of 999 unless you have a register.

Matching plaques last 3 digits in cars to chassis no would be neatest solution surely

there are 2 series of VINs used on the 675.

numbers ending 675XXX are the 'standard' series of 500 coupes then spiders, some of which have matching number plaques (so XXX of 500).

There are I believe possibly a hundred others (not counting the modified factory development 650s that were pre production cars) that will have VIN 0675XX for the additional cars that were added on top of the announced 500 which would only have had the '1 of 500' plaques on the car..

Ok good to know although I can't afford a HS or carbon series car. I don't know if there was such a thing but a blue carbon car would be amazing. Not sure I would want to drive it though unless it had 10 layers of PPF on it and therefore it would become a very expensive ornament

Yes there is a blue carbon spider or at least I am pretty sure I have seen at least one.

the HS wouldn't be in the 675XXX or 0675XX series cars incidentially, I think they have 650 series vins funnily enough. The carbon series ones are 0675XX cars I believe but not every 0675XX is a carbon car either. a good few of those are simply additional 675s.

I’ve bought from Bramley and know a couple of others who have also. All was professional and fine. I’ve had no issues with the car so there was no need to re-engage.

I saw that car too!
