Hottest day so far and I take the car out. The air con was deffo on, but no cold air. It was 27 degrees outside, but fairly warm in the car. It has definately worked (i thought) in the past. Tried everything and no cold air. Any ideas how I can 'reboot' it ? Dealer is manchester which is 140 mile round trip. many thanks

I had this happen in the 540. I noticed that if I started the car and immediately went to IRIS the loading screen showed up instead of the icons. It allowed me to select the settings for the climate button which then showed the climate screen, and although I selected the temp nothing happened.
Once I stopped the car, restarted and waited for IRIS to load- about a min, then selected the climate button the climate settings worked!
Did you try that?

I have the same problem with my 570, it's only blowing hot air so I've been unable to use the car for the last couple of days. To make matters worse I reported the issue to Mclaren Ascot while it was in for a service last month.

I had a similar problem with my 12c. When you say it's blowing hot is it doing that all the time or only when your sat in traffic or on a light throttle?

If that is the case then it is likely the compressor. On mine they tried a recalibration first which didn't work, then a new controller and finally the compressor which fettled it.

My fault was wierd when you floored the throttle and really kept some
Big throttle angles on for a while the ac blew cold. Apart from that it would blow warm air only.

You might be able to guess where I live it's pretty hot here at the moment about 40c and the AC copes nicely.

I spoke to Birmingham (I've given up with manchester) and they suggested checking the software had been updated. They also said it's possible damage to the system or a failed compressor has caused fluid loss. I'm also going to try and factory reset the IRIS in the hope it is software. I've never in 25 years of car ownership had air con problems.

If a car which is only two years old at the very most needs an a/c regas there's more fundamental problem.

I had a compressor replaced under warranty on my Audi R8. That only blew warm air and sounds very much like the issue (assuming it's not software related).
