Suspicious Oil Drops on Driveway - 650S
Discussion
An unfortunate first post, but I thought I'd seek the wisdom of the wise...
2 months in to 650S ownership. 2015 Year with 6k miles. Started car up this morning and reversed out of driveway about 15ft. Got out of car to find 7 droplets of fresh oil about 30mm apart which appears to have dropped from the middle of the car (straight line out of garage). Note: No Oil found on garage floor where it had been parked for 24 hours.
Wasn't overly worried (much!!!) but when I moved the car back in to the garage some 5/6 hours later, the car emitted a fair amount of smoke (blue) for approximately 5 seconds from the exhausts.
Moved car forwards. Killed engine. Strong burning smell. Garage floor is almost perfectly level. Driveway slopes quite badly.
Does anyone know if these two symptoms could be linked? Or entirely coincidental?
Would anyone care to profer a diagnosis? Presumably, this is quite abnormal and another trip to the dealer is entirely justifiable?
Thanks in advance.

This might not be of help, but did you check the droplets after a few mins? Easy to mistake water droplets from the condenser on the A/C for drops of oil. McLarens have undertrays so if there was a small oil leak it's unlikely to be seen dripping on level surface, but I guess when parked on a sloped driveway it may run off.
Again with the smoke, was it blue (oil) or white (water vapour)?

Nope. Not topped oil up since I collected the car, and was serviced just before collection, 1k miles ago. Checked level using check procedure and level was deemed OK and one 'bar' under Max.
Sounds like the one thing that nearly convinced me not to buy McLaren, may have reared its head; dreaded gearbox fault?!
A real shame, as the 650S appears to have reportedly not suffered the same issues as the 12C...
Therefore assume the blue smoke was coincidental and unrelated?
Just waiting on McLaren Assist to actually respond and arrange collection to nearest dealer. Has anyone any experience of McAssist, and what courtesy cars they can provide?

The gearboxes are the same so the problems would be largely the same imo. the reason I assume why it seems to occurs less is that the 650 would still be under manufacturer warranty (only just) and would therefore largely be sorted without much quibbling unlike out of warranty 12cs.A real shame, as the 650S appears to have reportedly not suffered the same issues as the 12C...
