12C at Ascot / London
Discussion
I've had the insurance quote which was reasonable, but still can't make my mind up if this will be a well-timed great buy or lead me to financial ruin! I seem to have a special knack of buying good cars at the worst possible time, or passing on cars that would have gained significantly (reference a Sagaris I turned down at £38k which was a dream car at the time and now worth double). Basically if you want to be financially savvy with cars then follow me and do the opposite.
I've been made aware of a private sale which looks really nice, and just noticed this one in the classifieds which also looks good:

Does anyone know that car and its history?

If you are thinking about buying a 12C the Owner's Group have a helpful buyer's guide available covering all the things to look out for.

Thanks, I had a good read. I would still want someone to help me inspect the car though. Alastair Bols does that I think, do you know of any others?http://www.mclarenowners.org.uk/ Scroll down the home page.

I'd suggest having it on a ramp with undertrays off for a proper check. If you don't want to go with the official dealership inspections, thorney motorsport or backdraft motorsport (which I've personally used for some 12c related items) would be able to do that as well.I know the car and the owner. Really nice chap.
Priced well and that's down to the mileage and maybe less preferable exterior and interior colour.
Still prefer mine obviously, haha.
