I often get twitchy for a change of car after two years, but having just seen my 2 yr old 650s arrive back from its second service, I can't even begin to think of selling it. It has got right under my skin, even if it is way to accomplished to exploit on our roads. I have never had one negative comment and only one negative hand sign in the last two years, in modern Ferrari you get them all the time.
Price wise, they probably have a bit further to go down, but not much. People punted the 675LT and there are 28 LT's for sale versus 27 650s spyder and coupes. The damage in prices will probably be felt in the 650 LT more than the 650S.

DEFINITION : What is buffoon: a person who does silly things, usually to make other people laugh

Lighten up and have a sense of humour. No wonder you are a social hand grenade

TBH I am not sure I will want to own a McLaren. It's abit like having a salesman grinding you down.

If you are the only one laughing at your jokes, may I humbly suggest that they aren't funny.

2 years ? The previous 2 cars lasted 9 months and then 6 months but the 650S will be coming up for 3 years soon. Drove it for the first time in a month today having been away on holiday and its so good to be back in the saddle. Unbelievable car and does make you wonder what you can ever replace it with that gets close at sensible money. Not feeling enough love for the 720S to splash out another £100k and I do question my sense at ordering 2 cars which will be more than that and somehow still feel inferior to the 650S.
Some new 650s owners will upgrade to McLarens latest and greatest but once these cars fall into 2nd or 3rd used car owners I think less and less will appear for sale which will also hold prices up well. I'm certainly not desperate enough to let it go sub £160k, I'd rather just keep it alongside the new acquisitions at that sort of money

Mention future purchase. Check

Mention money. Check.

You did exactly the same in the other thread (and was rightly ridiculed for it) and now you feel the need to do the same in this one.

How crass.

Only second fiddle to the quality of your 16 posts. Do you have anything constructive to add to the forum or are you just here to troll ? If so can I direct you back to the CHAV section

I would say worst case ~£100K in 2-3 years for a 650S, best case £140K. A lot depends on the economy and inflation in the next few years.

You may have 3717 posts, but they can easily be summed up in one cringe worthy, self adulating, bragging, un-humorous, yawn inducing paragraph though...

Oh give it a rest, it's like a school play ground in here.

Love him or hate him, Rambo does make a contribution to these threads, often opinionated, often ridiculous, often tongue-in-cheek, but a contribution non-the-less. Some troll turns up, with no posting history, with no profile details, with no credibility, and makes no relevant contribution and then the silliness starts.... sad, very sad.

Exactly my point. I might be George Whitebread and "say what I like, and like what I say" and most definitely don't expect everyone to agree with me but at least I have an opinion and not come on here JUST to personally abuse people and troll - you know who you are so no need to produce the list of shame

Rambo, whilst I agree you do have much to offer, you also are surely aware that your constant posting about 650 prices and "your next 4 cars being lined up" grates and comes across as crass?

Just stick to the topic being discussed and we'll all have a much better discussion.

Just my 2p worth.

It's hardly just one troll. It's a large number of people on this forum who are sick of him and his demeaning attitude.

Sticking up for an idiot like RL only encourages him, it's sad, very sad.

I think I'll still buy a 488 Spider, awful, overpriced, depreciating and anachronistic though they may be. Mind you that's partly because a McLaren dealership is a ferry ride away from me so don't take offence. Each to his own as they say. I'd love a 650S and actually would regard not losing my shirt on any such car as a huge bonus and leaving it another year as a waste of life unless it made sense for other reasons and I had something nice to keep me going.

Oh yeah, the 488 Spider order time is still stupidly long. Another reason not to touch that old non carbon tubbed shytebox I suppose.

And your thoughts on the future values of the 650s are......

Personally, they'll always be valued above the 12c so there will be a natural hierarchy in values down the range. With 12c values being stable, that will stop 650s dropping to the same level, after all why would you buy a 12c if they cost the same as a 650s?
