a little bird tells me that you couldn't get a bid on your 650, and ended-up pxing it for more mcjunk
I can't imagine any birds wanting to speak to you.Maybe some fat old mamma if you paid her enough would give you the time of day.
Don't let FACTS get in the way of your fictional trolling though
Having px'd my 650S Spider in for a delivery mileage LIMITED Edition 675LT spider I think I know more about McLaren values than most that fantasise on here.
And 2 weeks later the dealer has already sold it on, without even advertising, it to the 1st person to look at it.
I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk so deserve the respect that a few on here just can't bring themselves too.
Envy and jealousy can be an evil beast if you can't control it

12C dropped, bottomed out and bounced back after 4 years. 650S has always been stronger than the 1st incarnation but will probably follow a similar pattern albeit supported underneath more by 12C and rapidly growing brand awareness and demand.
An early low spec 4 year old 650S spider at £150k could pretty much be the low point from which they return especially if 720S are retailing used near list at circa £250k next year which others are predicting. £100k or 67% more to upgrade to 720S is a big jump hard for anyone to justify
650S is fantastic value for money. Unbelievable and way better than anything else at that pricepoint IMHO.
Christ I'm convincing myself rather than considering selling I should buy a 2nd one - off to the classifieds before they all get snapped up, when they are gone they are gone
This was part of an exchange I had with you almost a year ago on this topic and it’s all turned out to be complete nonsense as was pretty obvious at the time. If you’d rushed out and bought another one back then, you’d be at least £20k down by now. Coupes looking like value at less than £120k now though. Spider will follow.....An early low spec 4 year old 650S spider at £150k could pretty much be the low point from which they return especially if 720S are retailing used near list at circa £250k next year which others are predicting. £100k or 67% more to upgrade to 720S is a big jump hard for anyone to justify

Do you seriously think anyone on here is either envious or jealous of you ? If so, please tell us why .....And 2 weeks later the dealer has already sold it on, without even advertising, it to the 1st person to look at it.

Get over yourself. Your small fry mate compared to some posters on here who have some truly envious garages. And 2 weeks later the dealer has already sold it on, without even advertising, it to the 1st person to look at it.

Your LIMITED Edition LT is a depreciating asset and it's not really that LIMITED is it. In fact it's probably one of the only LIMITED Editions that IS depreciating.
Rambo never told us how much he px his 2015 650s for...I will guess that he go £120k for it. That is amazing amount to lose over a 3 year period on a car which listed at £245k! Quite shocking really.
The problem is simply that McLaren are not a global brand, just like TVR and Lotus before them, they are domestic manufacturers with a bit of an international awareness. Unlike Ferrari and Lamborghini which are truly global brands.
This coupled with their desire to produce an ever increasing amount of cars (even though they all share the same engine, gearbox and chassis), is causing a glut in the UK market where most of this production will end up.
They cant even rely on their F1 heritage anymore, as the Ayrton Senna McLaren team of the Eighties is simply no more...
Sad really.

As posted by Lowndes, gives a true perspective on the 650.
I may have posted some of this before but at the risk of repetition here are some data points.
New 650S spider ordered December 2015. Delivered March 2016. List £245k. OTR cost to me £200k. Sold Feb 2017 with 4.5k miles through AB returning £184k to me after AB commission.
At handover in March 2016 the fuel filler cap would not open. Handover aborted and postponed to following week. When on tour In Swiss Alps the passenger window opened halfway of its own accord and refused to close. Mac Assist were very helpful but the first recovery was 2 days away so I did a 300 km round trip to Geneva where they closed the window but were unable to fix the fault as the part was on 2 week back order.
Save for the two faults noted the car was otherwise faultless and a pleasure to own and drive.
Following that experience I have been watching 720S and or 675LT with interest as I would like another McLaren. However, for the moment I am inclined to stay on the sidelines and observe the general trajectory of prices and service issues.

His one listed at about £282k. He paid just over £240k. That’s even more shocking.
