It reflects the general populace's preference, even supercar owners are not immune. A similar example: of the 45 regular F12s on PH, roughly 2/3 are white/silver/black (i.e. not coloured), the remaining 1/3 are of course red. Only 3 of the 45 are otherwise. Colours are so uncommon these days you would think they would command a premium come resale, and thereby entice people to spec some interesting choices.
Mines not grey or white or black, you can tell me at the Biknacre meet if I've made a horrible mistake Boxer!

I do love that Fistral blue, I backed out of it at the last moment because I couldn't see one in the flesh anywhere and wasn't sure how it would look in real life.

McLaren Glasgow's new demo is in Fistral Blue, which is pretty different.

Porsche are indeed highly honoured that Mclaren have been cribbing their colours......Miami blue.

I was taking you seriously there for a while Tony, I didn't realise you were on the Yipper bus.

I’ve always try to get an idea of cost to change or an outright purchase deal done before I buy any car so as not to waste each other’s time subject to a test drive and whether I like the car or not but I’ve had more than enough experience through owning these type of cars and also through racing at quite a decent level to know whether or not a car is going to be to my liking or not.
Perhaps I needed to make this clear earlier, sorry.
Definitely not on anyone’s bus 😱

Lol. When will you get that the FUN in driving is not about pure speed that you cant exploit safely on the British Public Roads.
The Lambo sounds and feels fast even at low speeds. You just cant beat a big normally aspirated engine in a supercar regardless of what the performance figures suggest. Its a dieing breed and one that will be sorely missed when everything ultimately goes turbo/ hybrid/ electric.

My 650S spider will out drag the Performante but its not about that, its more about feel, sound fun and excitement. Performance and dynamics are where the 720S is too good for its own good because it lacks soul. As a McLaren fan I have to say no one does theatre and drama better than Lamborghini.
Maybe the next LT will partly address this and that's where my money will be going when it comes out

I took out my Larini equipped Lamborghini today for the first time this year. I couldn't give a monkeys if the 720 is quicker, the noise of my car at 7500rpm gave me goosebumps today. The range of noises it makes through the rev range is incredible

These are all ridiculously fast cars. Almost too much for the road. It's the noise that's the defining quality for me, and it's why I will be sticking with Lamborghini for the foreseeable future, I think.

Makes perfect sense to me - I test drove one car (Z3 M Coupe) in my entire life. And coming to think of it, I have bought all my other cars over the phone without even seeing them. 50k is 50k and the benefit not necessarily linked to how much more advanced the car is.

That's not really the point here though is it? Buying without driving is fine, deciding not to buy without driving is also normal but intimating that one car is better than another without ever driving one of them is a little different!

And I referred to Yipper as he has a seemingly endless opinion of every car out there without ever apparently driving any of them. Except perhaps the bus.

And where are the AutoZeitung/SportAuto ring laps of the gt2rs or performante? It's nonsensical comparing factory efforts to mag press car laps as per above claim about the 720.

dunno but they did a 6:57 in the 918 and a 6:55 in a Radical SR8

and Horst von Saurma who did the lap is a good driver, his CGT time was within a couple of seconds of Walter Röhrls Porsche conducted test

Low mileage 2017 720s are sitting with an asking price of around the £260k - £277k, 2016 488 GTB's start with an asking price of circa £200k.

I understand the point about not necessarily relying upon a test drive as normal test drive often isn't long enough to really get to know a car, but you must have had some thought of what your 488 GTB is worth as a trade-in against the car you were looking at?

SportAuto were 7:13 in the 918 with von Saurma driving...

I definitely agree he's a very good driver (and Gebhardt who does them now is even better) but neither of them are getting even close to Lars Kern or Marc Lieb.

You're rather odd aren't you. Grown man using loser emojis. Each to their own I suppose.

Best to ignore you from now on I think. You are welcome to the last word. You seem exactly the sort of person who craves it.

I will not respond.

That's just the point, my dealer told me 210-212k with the spec of my 488. That's how I can judge the cost to change but dealer selling this 720 wanted to pay me trade money at 190k.
That's why we couldn't agree on a cost to change ! Must add, this is the second 720 I'm talking about.

Not sure why TonyF is getting slated seems a genuine petrolhead like the rest of us but if his dealer has offered £210k grab it and buy this at £240k - looks stunning
