Did the Performante have the LDS steering as the standard steering on mine seems fairly sharp and precise to be fair.

I drove a 675LT spyder a while back, admittedly only for 20 minutes on the road, with a view of swapping in my 650S but did not consider it to be worth twice the price and an extra £150k TBH. Was really hoping to fall in love with it and make the change but with the best man maths in the world I could not justify the price differential
When I made a similar change from F430 to 430 Scuderia in 2013 it was also twice the price but only £80k at the time.
675LT is a fantastic car but with 2 new LT's coming the price is only going one way so you are right to wait IMHO
Believe you will be waiting while. Last I heard the 720LT was a 2020/2021 launch.

760LT (most likely)... I've got my name down for it already. Been told it's to be announced in 2019 with first customer deliveries coming early 2020. Of course things may change...

Had a nice phonecall from Hatfield this morning... DVLA have registered the car and it's back from the detailers this morning, so it's good to go!

Looks like I'm going to have to wait til late Friday afternoon for collection though :/ Makes me want to drive down now...

Sport series "LT" will be launched at Goodwood in July circa £220k fully specced up and can see a few 675LT owners potentially swapping for the attest and greatest albeit sports versus super series. Newer car and £50k cashback why wouldn't you

675LT owners will have more than £50k change from a £220k 5xxLT

I thought he was being rather generous there is a healthy supply of used 675s in the UK and by July 250K would give you a decent choice.

£50k does seem generous, this one looks lovely at £265k, shame it has the wrong seats

Not at all, in fact as pointed out rather generous. I turned down a 100 mile good spec 675LT Spider at £290k 4 months ago so if lucky the owner probably got £270k then. Considering its a limited edition car its interesting to see that are as many for say as the regular 650S at half the price

Prices have dropped back a good £40k in the last 6 months and still a lot of the same cars advertised. Even at £290k which was below list on the car my main concern was a big wedge of depreciation when the sport series LT came out in July 2018 and then again when the super series LT came out in 2020/21.
At the rate McLaren is progressing each new model is getting better and better so in a way they are their own worst enemy. Fine if you are coming from a conquest brand but upgrading within McLaren requires big chunks of money hence they need to sort out the dealer network and used car values.
Dare I mention a loyalty incentive

Aren't those called the P1, P1 GTR, Senna & Senna GTR? wink

I'm shooting to get my name on the list for whatever comes after the Senna... sure resale will be a nice bonus... but I desperately want to drive that thing.

720S Radio.
Anyone getting any AM stations? I have run the scan in a few different locations and it comes up blank. Don't get too many on FM either.

However they have engineered the aerial for radio reception (looks like it's in the windscreen) is the worst I've ever come across. I don't even bother trying with DAB anymore in the car, FM seems a little better but marginally.

Boring squashed Beetle that you can't even buy, no point even talking about them. Move on nothing to see here
Boring Beatle that you cant buy, really ? 9000RPM and a Cup car for the road,
Yup.

He could always pay the required £50k overs which the market currently demands....understandable reflecting the cars ability.

Although he's probably still a bit pissed off he pulled out of a gen 1 GT3 at just the wrong time...hehe

Really ? Been there, done that and besides every Tom Dick and Harry has a porch. I doubt it would even be on my consideration list if I ever dropped back down to a SPORTScar

Top comedy.

There are more Tom Dick and Harry's with increasingly common Mclarens in the UK.

Talk about spurious arguments, but there have been over 1 million 911's, in all their variants, built in total. They are common and most people couldn't tell an RS from a GT or any other combination of letters and numbers you could come up with. By the same token most people couldn't separate a 540 from a 570 or even a 650, but what they would know is that it was a special and unusual car.
I'm not even a particular McLaren fan but I do know they are a rare and lovely sight on our roads.

I find it absurd that a bunch of people that have been given, or have earned themselves, an above-average position in economic prosperity, have nothing better to do than squabble about whose toy is infinitesimally better than an other's. Shame on you.
