As it happens I was there a year ago and I mentioned to the salesman that I'd seen that car nearly 30 years ago and he confirm that it had been advertised for that figure but didn't sell, and the owner still had it.
So find it hard to believe that a genuine RHD (only 7 made?) would be that 'cheap' in 2000? More likely to be either a FHC conversion or a LHD (or both)?

Allowing for fluctuation in market (as evidenced in the other cars' values in the same publication) and the passage of time, I wouldn't be surprised if that was as stated, an original 365GTS Daytona, albeit LHD not RHD (looks LHD in the pic to me)https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24129/lot/116/
