540C or 570S ??
Discussion
Hello. I went down the route of a 540C. The differences between 540C and 570S were not enough to justify the £s. And after a test drive in a 570S I was immediately put off by the brakes. If you are not full on and they are not hot, then they are spongy. I didn't like that.
Performance wise, on the road you would not tell the difference between the two. Road manners on the 540C are better, but for track the 570S will sneak ahead.
So you have to weigh up what suits you. Don't buy a 570 just because it costs more. It is not the better car, but just has more expensive components fitted to suit the track.
I have had my 540C for 18 months. Storm grey and is now for sale at McAscot. Maybe moving towards a 720. We'll see.
Oh and the performance of both cars is blistering and both will see a 911 turbo off with ease!

Have done 5.5k miles in 540 and enjoyed very much, recently 1000 miles in 570 spider. I did notice difference between the models especially the extra torque in 570. To me, overall the 570 feels like 540 turned upto 11 - steering & handling sharper tho bizarrely ride is more compliant, engine more muscular, etc. There are no single elements that are night and day different, more overall package is appreciably different and IMO better. From miles in both I don't agree you cannot tell difference between them.
Tho you won't go wrong with either model, for sure. Is case of finding right car in your preferred spec / budget, good time to buy at present too while market quieter pre season. Both cars crack the ton in around 6 secs, proper rapido.

Low mileage 570s at Silverstone Auctions on the 19th.
Low estimate £115k.
Be interesting to see what it goes for?
