Good points, not that I'm aware of but probably something to look at during its next service.
Vermilion red is a fantastic colour but really hard to photograph it well to show it off.
This is probably the best picture which shows it well, has a lovely orange fleck through it
Glasgow had a vermillion red 765 spider earlier this year for sale.Vermilion red is a fantastic colour but really hard to photograph it well to show it off.

Never seen that colour in the flesh before and it was proper stunning and really popped in the sunshine.
I really like your car Justin; you would be hard going to replace that.
All supercars will always have supercar maintenance bills every so often, and you have taken care of a good amount of items; be a shame to do all that just for a new owners benefit!

Wow wish I'd seen that. Saying that it's been a while since I've physically been at McGlasgow as the car has been transported up and down the last few times. Always like a trip there for a walk about the car park. Never seen that colour in the flesh before and it was proper stunning and really popped in the sunshine.

You're right though it will be very hard to replace. The only thing I would consider is a new V8 Defender. Nothing else would really take my fancy and would be a complete change of car.. There isn't much out there for similar money that would give the same thrill.

Tbf it could have been worse.. You keeping it now?
My wife is already asking when I'm advertising it now that it's back.. but agree with the above, it's ashame to spend all that money and not get the benefit.. on the other hand it's and ideal time to sell up. Sorry to hear about another significant expense. It sounds like the weather has had a bit of an impact on the pipework and I guess the springs also, pity they aren't a bit better protected really.
Incidentally I asked V Engineering about pre-emptively replacing the hose clamps and they recommended not to bother on the Sports Series unless you're seeing an actual issue with them, FWIW.
I'm very happy with MPS4S on my 570GT, really good grip including in cool and damp conditions and very progressive when they let go. I hope you get a few more good drives in your car soon, you've certainly got the roads for it at least!

You haven’t had much luck lately Justin, but good it’s all sorted. When I first got mine I had a couple of leaks at the front, frustratingly a few weeks apart, they ended up replacing all 4 front coolant pipes under warranty and it has been perfect ever since, hopefully you are trouble free now for a while.
I know the feeling about whether you keep it or sell it, i know nothing will even come close in the price bracket, but coming up to 4 years of ownership now I feel like a change so I have literally just agreed to give it back to mcglasgow, a decision I think I’m going to regret !
I will update my own thread when it’s all finalised !

Thanks for the update.
Had the hose clips been replaced? Thorney mention the OEMs are pretty poor and offer a replacement service.
At my last service I asked Thorney Motorsport about this and they said the sports series rarely have problems with hoses so not to bother. They did identify one of the coolant pipes to my driver's side front rad was damp at a joint, I didn't get it changed at the time as I had some warranty left and asked McBrum to look with a view to a free replacement (nope). I have asked Thorney to replace the pipe/hose this year (it has been fine). May be the same pipe/connection Justin had problems with.Had the hose clips been replaced? Well, last and final update from me I'm afraid. I've just sold my 540C.
Freshly back from it's 6th service (£1450 from McGlasgow) with all new tyres and suspension, the car was in fantastic condition. Coupled with the lack of use over the last few years it's been getting harder to justify and although I'm sad to see it go, it felt like the right time to move it on.
It's been sold privately to one of those online competition pages, so might buy a few tickets on the off chance to win it back. The sale all happened quite quickly and not sure what direction to go next but was made an offer I thought was too good to turn down, or I'd be committed to keeping it another year over winter.
Overall, utterly fantastic car and a real joy to own. I will miss it dearly.
McGlasgow - Ricky (and previously Scott) and his team in service were superb throughout my ownership, really did go the extra mile and deserve the credit they get through the MOC.

seems quite cheap for a 6th year. did you have the charcoal filters replaced? think thats what adds a few 000s onFreshly back from it's 6th service (£1450 from McGlasgow) with all new tyres and suspension, the car was in fantastic condition. Nice to know the thread has been of some use. I've also enjoyed it and sure I'll look back and read through it all sometime.

Sad times Justin, but as above , this thread was one of the reasons I bought mine.
I still haven’t bought a replacement yet, do you have anything lined up ?
My main reason for selling was lack of use, due to children/dog duties. It only covered 3k miles in two years, a real shame. I guess priorities change being a parent! genuinely not sure what I'll do next.. I'm in three minds, first is to buy something to run around in for a few months until I make up my mind.. Second is middle of the road and go hot hatch, fast estate, Golf R, RS4, Defender etc.. M3 touring is probably the dream, but can't get over buying one would cost more than I got for the 540C.. or thirdly would be a real change of scenery and go Electric. Although I test drove a Tesla Model Y yesterday, lovely car but not sure I'm ready to make that move. I still haven’t bought a replacement yet, do you have anything lined up ?
