96kg weight saving is not bad (I suspect that is with the seats from the Senna, which to hazard a guess will be pricey...)

that's with all lightweight options selected as well as no audio/aircon (no cost options)

the 675 was about 60-70kg iirc lighter than the 650 with similar spec. the 600 probably would be the roughly the same amount lighter than the 570 I'd guess.

From memory the 570s is relatively heavy compared to the 720/650 - would have thought they could maybe get more weight out for a track version

675 still the one I really want

IIRC, the 570 is about 20-30 kg heavier than the 650. Or there or abouts anyway, it's not really much different.

Do have a look at the 675 anyway, it's really a terrific car and if I'm not wrong is quite keenly priced in Europe where there hasn't been much of a market for them so I reckon you can get one at a pretty decent price.

Nope. Its 96kg normally, 110kg lighter with all the lightweight options. From Autocar's article:

I will definitely at some point ... currently no money for additional cars

MASSSSSSIVE !

Weight is a real killer in supercars and deadens the experience.
Being light and nimble helps you throw the car around

McLaren engineer told me total max weight saving is closer to 90Kg than 100Kg and is with Senna Seats and no a/c.

I think 95% of people will want a/c (10Kg i'm told) and Senna seats are not to everyone's liking as they cost £££'s, are much more difficult to get in/out of and have no adjustability. They do look great and nice when you're in them, but for a road car I [personally] couldn't live with the compromises.

Real world weight saving therefore 60-70Kg

Tyres are a big improvement and will make more difference to reduction in lap time than weight/power gain. 2 sec' a lap on their own but can be fitted to a 570 if you want.

An even more special (MSO) 600LT being shown at Pebble Beach in just over 2x weeks....

I do honestly think it would be a damn shame to spec a 600LT without the Senna seats, though. A very unique option. Have sat in them. Do like them, although they felt a bit high to me. Might've just been the setting, however. They are height adjustable iirc.

Senna seats are lovely and save weight but at a pricely sum of money. Nice gimmick to have along with the top mount exhausts but not critical IMHO
If the car is going to be used mainly on the track I can see the point but as a 90% road car they are very awkward to get in and out of.
For a road car I would order the normal racing bucket seats which are more comfortable and accessable

Shame they don't come in two sizes though as they were a bit big for me.
I thought there were 2 size options for the P15 seats as well? Although afaik it's more a change in the thickness of the cushions/pads as the shell is the same size. It'll probably be possible to get a good upholstery shop (like say the exact same guys MSO use wink ) to sort that to your body shape as well.

Can moderators please move this topic into McLaren section?

It would avoid me starting a duplicate as there is not a topic on 600LT on McLaren forum section.

Thanks
