I had a ban last year for totting up, a number of SP30s. I'm now free and clear of it, and have been looking at treating myself to a weekend car.

Do I have any chance of insuring either a new Audi R8 or Ferrari 458, even at an absurdly high cost?

Any companies or brokers I should speak with?

Before that I have 10 years no claims. 38 years old etc.

You’ll be fine, it will just be a question of cost.

A good broker should be able to help you out. I use A-Plan who are very good imo.

Thankfully no experience of that situation so go on to comparison websites and get a few quotes - 10-15 minutes should be enough time for you to get a feeling of costs, absurd or not.

My R8 is relatively cheap to insure so based on that a new R8 should be cheaper than a 458. I'm with Admiral but it all depends on your personal situation as to what's best for you.

it sucks balls but you can do it, I got insurance after having 15 points on my license (without ban because of a mad concidence where my court date coincided with 6 points expiring)
