Off on the MC500 next week and wondering what is the easiest way to charge an iPhone 6 in a 12C?

The USB in the armrest doesn't provide as much amperage as the cig lighter to the extent that if you are running Waze (which is hungry bugger) the USB in the armrest won't keep up with demand and the phone battery will deplete . The cig lighter is the better choice as it has a higher amperage output.

In the spirit of the late great Tommy Cooper, "Well then don't run Waze"

In any case if you are using Waze. you can't really keep the phone in the centre armrest can you (Unless you have x-ray eyes, - which you might have)

I don’t but I do have this thing called a ‘cable’ that runs between the USB socket (or cig lighter socket) and the phone which sits in a phone mount.

Slightly off topic, but I noticed Waze eats battery on an iPhone (6S Plus, 5 and others), so yes the charging is slower than the consumption. However on my Huawei Mate 10 Pro it doesn't use much power at all, huge difference. I don't even both charging the Huawei while driving. Probably something to do with the processors way of handling workloads. Maybe Apples new processors will help alleviate this.

So another way to reduce the issue is swap phones smile
