This was in response to Ben's issues with his 570S Spyder? That car ruined his road trip. I was with him, and a lot of us on that trip had been looking forward to it all year, as a real finale to the summer. The McLaren just threw up issue after issue, it was beyond a joke.
Ok, whether it was in response to Ben's car or not.. it is still a direct comment at McLaren, slating their product. And on the subject of Ben's issues - just like TGE, to the neutral it seemed as though he went about it the wrong way on social media aswell! Maybe that is just the immaturity showing?rex-knd2s said:
I dont think there was anything wrong with Bens social media content. I followed his journey with his McLaren and it was an absolute dog from day 1. Felt sorry for him and hope he was compensated. Up there with the worst ownership of any car I've ever seen.
Dog from day 1? Boring... let me guess you own a Porsche or a Ferrari?Just sat for the first time on a 570S. Not driven yet because it was raining although the dealer offered it for a drive. Hopefully next week better weather.
Love it, such higher drama compared to a 991.2 GT3, my current alternative and target till few weeks ago.
Really, w/o having driven it yet, I would not spend one penny more on a 991.2 GT3 over a 570S from its look, exteriors and interiors.

And the doors! Love it, such higher drama compared to a 991.2 GT3, my current alternative and target till few weeks ago.

Well for me doors may be a bit of an issue as my garage is 3m wide, however yes it's a proper supercar, a league above a 911 even if GT3, in terms of exclusivity of it's design and stance as well.
It could be that I am drunk from the showroom but guys, really impressed with impact of the car...
Forgot to say, it had MSO Titanium exhaust and it sounded marvelous on start up and low rev from standstill.

Good stuff RTB0, if you like the way it looks & makes you feel just wait until you drive it.
I came out of total bore fest of a Porsche Boxster 981 GTS in to my Mclaren 570 Spider. The Porsche was so inert & dull I just didn't want to drive it, only clocking up 1700 miles in two years. It just did nothing for me other than being competent transport.
What a contrast the Mac is, always feels like an event to take it for a spin. I just can't stop driving it chalking up 2000 fun filled miles in a couple of months, just going out driving it for the hell of it.
I see you are fairly local, if you wanted to have a chat about anything Mac related ownership experience etc I'm near to Droitwich so feel free to drop me an email.
