Dear All. I may well make the leap and buy a 675LT (prob spider - for sunny days and overseas driving hols). I tested an LT at Romans last week (grey, <1k miles, asking 260k). I really liked it. There's also a nice one at Hartley in chicane grey, 3k miles asking 260k. Fezzas are too shouty for me (testing 488 at Egham at weekend just to be sure), and I'm not saying 675 is a sleeper but it's different. I got a few thumbs up whilst driving the Mac compared to the abuse I got when I once drove Ferrari. More importantly, I thought the LT was superb. Dual character: compliant ride yet total weapon. I've currently got 2 911s (old turbo and new 4 gts coupe) and I've become a bit numb to Porsches (sorry). This would be my first car at this level / price point.
I'd be REALLY grateful if owners could help me with the following:
1. depreciation views for next year or so (assume 250k in). Conscious that a lot of people have lost 100k or so in 1 year. Where's the bottom?
2. timing. Do I wait for winter. There are quite a few so should I wait for the depths of winter?
3. reliability. Perhaps my main concern. I've read some scary stuff on McLaren Life. What is the reality? Any hints to spot a dud / things to look out for?
4. aftersales. Similar to point 3, I've heard horror stories about McLaren servicing and aftercare. What is the reality>
It's an occasional weekend car.
Much appreciated as always.

I can't answer the first 3, as I don't own a 675.

Point 4 though, I've had my 540C just under a year now, it's been back to the dealers for a small warranty job, and a second visit for its service.

No issues whatsoever. In fact the customer service was great. (McGlasgow)

1 - Prices on LT seem to hold up quite well and as a limited run then they will probably hold up better than others but it's all crystal ball stuff
2 - As winter comes and the cars age another month or two then possibly they will drop a bit more - crystal ball again
3 - My 570S has been very reliable and many others on here also vouch for the cars being reliable - if you get a warranty with the car then the worst that can happen is the car spends a bit of time in the dealers - not such a problem when its winter and I'd expect any 675LT driver is going to have another car anyway so not a massive inconvenience on the unlikely event it has issues
4 - Aftersales has been great for me - had a screw in one of my tyres, McLaren recovered the car from home, replaced the tyre and delivered the car back all on a covered transporter. Also had dealer send out an engineer to my home to reprogram Iris - I'm very happy with the service levels

The cars are out of this world to drive so I'm sure you won't regret buying one

I've had a 675LT for 2 years. They are the best to drive and so easy in all conditions. The combination of 1230 kg dry weight, 666hp and very clever suspension plus the best supercar steering that I know, makes it hard to beat.
I have had a few warranty issues: brake master cylinder, active aero, door lock and a cracked windscreen (they are very thin) After a bumpy start with the brakes issue, I have been very happy with the support that I've had from McLaren Ascot and I'm told the Bristol team is good too but a long way away from Surrey where I live.
Net, net it would take a lot to get me to move from this car - its just so capable. You won't regret owning one.

Thanks for the replies so far. As for the Lantana Purple 675LT Coupe - thanks for the heads up alas (1) I prefer the spider (overseas road trips and ability to lower rear window when roof up) and (2) purple with orange interior sounds not for me - to each their own. Oswald Boateng suits work with that colour combo (if better looking than me) but on a car? for me, no.
Often wondered why Woppum never got a 488 (driving that tomorrow at Egham) or a 675LT and passed over it for a 720s.
Any other 675LT owner views? Still seem to be a lot for sale....surprising given how good I thought the car was.
Thanks all.

I did 19k miles in my 650 and have now done 4.5k in my 675LT spider including a tour round France recently. Very very different cars, but the LTS is EPIC. Hopefully I can help with your questions wink
1) I turned down a 720 spider launch slot to go for a used LTS. Judging on 720 coupe prices the LTS is going to hold value a lot better, buy wisely with the right spec and I don't think you'll go too far wrong. Buy with options like touring race seats, lots of CF, good colour etc
2) There are fewer and fewer 675LT's for sale, don't limit yourself to a certain time of year. Keep hunting and jump on the right spec car for you. I've noticed a few people that were disappointed with the 600LT now looking at used 675LT, so that will further reduce the number for sale.
3&4) in 25k miles neither of mine let me down, both have had a few niggles always sorted by McBirmingham (who I'd recommend) Chose your dealer carefully is all I would say!

That’s jk jamiroquai’s 675LT.

Maybe being a bit of a joker the “575” is something he did for a tickle.

I've got a really nice 675LT coming in soon. Will be a super cheap car for someone. They are excellent value now and I'd have one over a 720 any day.

Congratulations and enjoy the 675LT. We love ours and have taken it on a couple of over 1000 mile road trips.
