I'll definitely be scratching the Lambo itch at some point.

Really fancy a white countach - like many of us I'm sure, had one on my bedroom wall growing up.
Completely different from the modern stuff.
But just wonderful. Alive.

One of the cars I’m looking at doesn’t have the B&W sound system - dealer says that it doesn’t make much difference... any views?

Thanks all
Which system does it have? The standard is the 4 speaker system which is poor..........mine has the 8 speaker system which is pretty decent........not on the B&W level but good enough to not need to spend the extra on the B&W....

Hi Sarnie,

It’s the 8 speaker system.

I wanted the B&O system for the DB11 but didn’t get it in the end, I then had a demo DB11 which had B&O for a month (whilst mine was in the garage) and must admit that I couldn’t tell too much difference. I’m probably tone deaf!

Anyone allowed a main dealer to put ceramic paint protection on, or have you used a specialist?

I have just got a 570s Spider, and have a v12v and 2 x GT3 (997.2 and 991.2)

The 570 Spider is amazing, very approachable and useable. Yesterday roof down on my favorite road would not wanted to be in any of the others. Doors are not an issue, if you get stuck climb out the roof!

Needs to be in Dynamic ESP mode to come alive. I think it sounds good as well (Flat plane crank with ignition cut so sounds like a race car)

The one I would sell 1st would be the 991.2 GT3, feels slow compared to the Mac and no where near as involving as the 997 or V12V. Great car but doesn't grab me like the others

Bold statement! Which I like, as when I sat on the 570S my mind was blown away compared to the way I felt sat on a .2 GT3.

I'm a Porsche man through and through however i also love McLarens..I sat in a 570S this summer and i must admit there is a much greater sense of special occasion especially with those doors..I nearly succumbed to temptation despite the fact i knew i'd miss the 9k screamer of a flat 6 NASP engine.

I've not owned a GT3 myself but came very close to a 997 GT3 once. Driven on one track and loved it.

However, as a sense of occasion they really don't compare to the McLarens. Whether than matters to you is personal preference. Ideally I'd like to have both hehe

I've just swapped out the DB11 v12 for a performante - no regrets in the slightest on that!

After some back and forth in head between Performante or 720, decided the Performante on simple basis of probably more smiles/mile. Pre-owned example, delivery due next week.

I tried the 488 Spider, Performante, 570S Spider and 720S.

I went for the 720S. It was very significantly better than the rest in every way, except engine sound where the Performante was far superior.

Well... finally decided that’s life is too short and have reserved a new 570 Spider in Volcano Orange.

Work is manic this week so probably have to wait a week to pick up - could be agony!

Thanks for everyone’s help - some really useful comments.
