Depends what you consider a lot of money really. 650S coupe is the rarest variant and you'll always have people who prefer the look over the spider, but if you aren't comfortable with shedding 20-25k over two years then now might not be the right time. I'm having a similar debate, I'd much prefer a Sports series but think I'm much more comfortable buying at 80k rather than 100k. In 12 months time I think I'll have a bit of choice at that level.

This is my car, just up for sale, moved to 675LT so genuine reason to move on.
Fantastic car, beautiful and mint. Comes with over 12 months McLaren warranty.

Hi Jamieo, wasn’t your car the one advertised recently privately? This is my car, just up for sale, moved to 675LT so genuine reason to move on.

No harm in sticking in a bid I'd have thought sub 110k tho
It’s a beautiful car, but even sub 110k without a Mclaren warranty for protection it’s not for me. It’s on SOR and this is the third garage I’m aware of it being advertised for sale at. Clearly the market thinks it’s to pricey as well. I would imagine the owners trying his best to reduce his loses by going down SOR the car.
Quite a few 650s's have been on the mkt for quite some time now certainly looks like they are hard cars to move on at current prices and not many are with Mclaren dealers (alot more seem to be at indo's) ... Seems those cars priced above 120k defo need to come down some. Really nice Spider at GC just came in at 106k 24k on clock which certainly wouldn't deter me...v interesting car if you could get it close to 100k

Don’t believe that’s true, but I’ll give you an update over coming weeks.Buyers have choice in general at moment.
The car at GC has just come on and the next cheapest 650 spider for sale is £9000 more...to be fair the pricing seems a bit cheap even with 24k miles...i would always prefer a car with good miles than a very low miles...its been used instead of sitting so any niggles should be sorted.
I'm guessing its also priced to factor in the cost of sticking a McLaren warranty on after purchase...i doubt they will discount this much further...they had a mantis green one for a long time and they weren't open to much offers on that.
However, I personally wouldn't buy a Mclaren that didn't have a Mclaren warranty. Yes, you can put one on, but it all depends on what they find during the inspection and what they insist you rectify before the warranty can be applied. With regards to that 2014 car, it shall cost the 5 yr service, approx £1300, the 5yr old warranty at approx £4600 and whatever they ask to be rectified during the inspection as they will minimise the chance of a claim....'a bit of damp on the strut..that will be £3300 sir' etc...so the cheapest 650 Spider for sale all of a sudden starts to get nearer the higher priced ones.
Best bet is to not be dazzled by price and go for cheapest, but to find one with the all important McLaren warranty in the colour and spec you want.
Best of luck selling yours at AB, its really between him and McLaren for buying a Mclaren with piece of mind via a dealer, although if a private seller had one for sale with a McLaren warranty i would definitely consider that also.

There seems to be a bit of a pattern with this car, they have now increased the price considerably back up to £125k ????
I’ve known the car fail to sell in 3 of the garages it’s been advertised in over the last year and a bit and on two occasions it’s had the price increased????
It didn’t sell a year ago at £125k why on earth would they increase the price back up tomtgis knowing it’s been moved around at least 3 garages and still failed to sell????
I guess the next part of the pattern was for it to be marked sold again only to pop up in another independent.

Currently starting to look into a new car and 650s is one of my preferred choices , is the mileage 3750 as in the add ? I see one of the pictures shows a odometer reading of 16000 ? Unless I’m reading something wrong Mine is still for sale, dropped the price a tad. More than 12 months McLaren warranty and an immaculate and superb car.
