Yeah but it's a Car Of The Year contest from a magazine dedicated to the emotive element of driving.

It's not which car is the best to buy, run and sell on.

Good point, however any car tests fails because it is just snapshot, and when you get into long term ownership journos tend to prefer other cars. If you had said which of these cars of any would you prefer to run for a year I doubt the Fiesta would be anywhere, but if you asked them to stump up their hard earned then it might be top, they can afford it and have a day job where they get to drive exotica with few monetary downsides.

These tests tend mainly to show good cars ...I'd love anyone of them.. but then which punches above expectations in those two weeks.

Note when test is held and where and how slippy the roads are and how narrow!!!

They are not testing the latest ford mondeo here.... it is best DRIVERS car... And done specifically avoiding the realities of ownership to focus on the cars themselves!

The reviewers wouldn't have been able to buy a 2rs or Pista in the first place to start a review anyway so it's a bit of a moot point.....
