The Mantis green car was my old one, Was one of the more reliable ones I had to be fair, Major spec and listed at close to £220k.
How you getting on with the new one...dare i ask?
Haha I like that.

It's not without its niggles but nothing that has left me high and dry in the 1600 miles I've covered so far, I went in with my eyes wide open so I'm not going to moan about it and hopefully it all gets rectified the next time it goes in.

Thanks Turbo Cab that's a seriously punchy list price although it is one of the nicest spec cars I've seen...how long did you have the car for and how many miles? Presume it had warranty work done any corrosion issues? I'm travelling at the minute but will reach out to the dealer when I'm back so will be interesting to see if there's a deal to be done.
Agreed, it deffinately ticked all the boxes with all the carbon, from memory it was only missing the middle door inserts in carbon, other than that it was loaded.

I owned it for around 4 months and covered around 3k miles before selling it to a good friend who went on to do the modball hence the mileage.

Far as I know it had all the corrosion issues rectified along with any warranty work required before selling to the current owner who doesn't seem to have kept it long at all.

From my personal experience TH offer the lowest bids known to man so they probably have enough juice in it to cut a decent deal, I mean they are of course the #dealmakers rolleyes

The mileage wouldn't bother me tbh as long as car is generally sound...I've already had some lowball bids for my V12 Vantage from Mcl dealers so wouldnt be suprised if got same from Hartley but that car is beautifully specced so that would be some compensation...of course the mkt is tough right now but that works both ways!

I think 90k is a good price for a 2016/2017 car. I have just sold my awesome 570GT for under 90k. It's a buyers market right now and any buyer can surely only suffer a little depreciation in the coming years.

I asked about MAC 720S McLaren in another thread and that turned into a shambles so i was hoping it was all good so nobody would jump in.

Glad your enjoying it.

I've been keeping an eye on 570S spyder prices as that's my preference and one's just popped up at below £110K - the lowest price I've seen so far. There are now several in the £110-115K bracket all with what I'd consider sensible mileage and most with decent specs and at Mac dealers as well.

I just sold my 570S privately for mid £70k's with 37k and 6 months transferable warranty which is low but I too am looking at spiders so in this market looking to get a bargain as I don't have any part ex so I can buy private if needs be.
It's where the market is right now.

Mid 70's sounds v fair considering the mileage, I think you did well to be fair...

That was the car this thread started about originally right? You didn't do many miles in it it seems...how was it I remember you had a windscreen issue just after you bought?

I did around 2.5k miles in it and a further 2k miles in a loaner 570GT whilst my screen issue was sorted. My car was amazing but after this problem I never really bonded with it, I just had a negative view of the car and I don't think it was ever going to be right hence my selling it after such a short time. It drove perfectly ok and no other issues so the next owner should have a great experience.
I'll get a Spider next and hopefully that will be better behaved in the early days.

Really enjoyed your 570 experience reports, thanks.

Just about to put my Spider into winter hibernation after 5k relatively trouble free miles since I purchased new smile

That's a shame looks like they took an age to fix the windshield if you racked up 2k miles on the loan car! Was it easy to sell it privately guess the warranty helped?

I mentioned in a post on FB that I might be advertising it starting with a 7 and it was sold and gone within about 36 hours to someone seeing the post. I normally part ex my cars to save all the hassle but that one experience proved me wrong.

I've heard that 7 handle is if you want to shift.

market is very illiquid and in the long run value but could be bloody in the next 2 years. Just way too many "exotic" cars out there atm.

I’m in the market for a 570s in the 80k’s if anyone is looking to get out of one.
I have also been toying with looking at the green one at Tom Hartleys but I’m not too sold on the green much prefer the orange plus it’s out of warranty, I know you can budget this in but I would rather a car with it already in place.
Bentley Birmingham have just advertised an orange 650s 2015 with 5k miles for 86k Got to be cheapest one yet !

I see that Leeds McLaren have a 2018 540C with 3.5k miles up at £99k. Must be desperate to sell as they have posted it on FB every day this week.

Also noticed they have a “we want your car” message on their site.

That's tremendous value but you need to factor in the £5k warranty although John Thorne (highly rated in Mac circles) will do one for a lot less. My next car but I want a spider, the're getting serious value now too.

This 570S is great value if you like the colour, surprised it's not been snapped up: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
