Not a great look for Mclaren with another Senna catching fire at the Austrian GP and Gerhard Berger at the wheel. Is it time they recalled them ? Considering most dont have actually hard milage seems it would be prudent to do so before someone gets hurt

There’s about as much response on here as there has been from Mclaren!

Not lucky enough to own one and I don’t know the full circumstances so I can’t really comment. I take it you don’t either?
Meanwhile, my 650s has been run nice and hard, and remains as cool a car as I could want.

My 600LT didnt catch fire on Saturday and considering bloody hot exhausts on the back and bloody hot weather on that day I call it an achievement!

Suggest you moron go away and put fuel on other topics...only true Senna customers may be in a position to answer your question.

Btw I read on the press McLaren is already on the case...

got to love the way that woking replicate their f1 cars, and owners regard completing a journey as an achievement smile

Owned a lot of marques - never owned one that seems to invoke the green-eyed monster so much in those that don't.

Funny how time flies.....just seems like yesterday GT3 deliveries were stopped and owners were told not to use their cars for 6mths as they were going up in flames... or was it the 458?

Could of been both to fair, don't pay much attention to the lesser brands....

That’s exactly the point you’ve hit the nail on the head, they told customers DONT use your car we have an engine problem!!!

Mclarens response is we don’t know what the problem is so we don’t know if we have a problem so maybe if we don’t recognise the problem it may not be a problem hehe

The guy in America who bought multiple Mclarens and lost his Senna still hasn’t had the courtesy of an official response which quite frankly is a joke!

Unlike Porsche who put a 10 year warranty on GT3 engines to show faith in the product!!!

As I have said I would buy a Mclaren but not in its current state!

Seems typical Mclaren owner lives in denial

That’s good for you and as you would expect!

But

It’s quite disgusting how they have treated this guy after spending near 3 million with them.

Note his comment “they won’t talk to me because I didn’t buy my Senna from them”

How crazy is that when he bought it from a Mclaren dealer and is the first name in the log book!

IMO if that’s not having your head up you’re arse I don’t know what is!

Same here. And I really want to like them. I'm still open to getting one in the future but the current line-up doesn't excite me and their current ethos sucks

Indeed. smile

"What me, jealous? No! I just, for no other reason, feel the need to denigrate a marque I don't / can't have".

serious question, why so much hate for McLaren on this forum????

I am not a McLaren owner but do aspire to get one, so tend to read through McLaren threads and it seems nearly every thread turns into constant barrage of criticism and negativity. As another poster said many cars have problems, I had a Porsche 911 once and I remember the fear of ending up with borescoring across multiple years of the 996 and 997 range yet whilst this was acknowledged there was and still is alot of love for these cars. When it comes to McLaren it feels like any trip-up is magnified 10 times compared to any other marque. Can't quite get my head around where this stems from and why McLaren have ended up being so hated on here.

Dunno why let's be clear McLarens are for enthusiasts, how often do you see a Lambo on a trackday? I recently had the pleasure of a Huracan and a 570s for a couple of days each...the Huracan looks great and the engine is a masterpiece but the Mclaren was the more engaging car to drive by some distance. Huracan Performante might be a diff story but they are a chunk more cash. You only need to watch a HR Owen car meet video to get a flavour for the avg lambo clientele...alot of shameless poseurs and before I get some flack I acknowledge not all Lambo owners are like this but there seems to be an above average %.
